all eyes seem to be on pick #6, but we got a top 5 selection in the next round as well.

whats everybody's general preference for our second round pick? how about later?

a WR? a RB? an OT? I think we might get a steal to help bolster the tackle position if we get a Fisher or the like here.

Much depends on what we do with the first pick.

I'm looking at inside linebacker, receiver (if we don't get one in the first round), or offensive lineman.

Good post. Eli Harold is a 2nd round pass rusher I like, and Jaelen Strong would be a great 2nd round WR.

I dont think it will happen, but Id love for Benardrick McKinney to be on the board when we pick in the 2nd

Move up ahead of the Patsies and steal Todd Gurley from them.

Depends on FA/Draft. WR/OL/OLB/CB/FS could be anything.

If Marcus Peters is off the board, and they're looking to go CB in the second round, another guy to watch for is Jalen Collins. I've been a fan of his since I first saw this video in 2012. Skip to :46. #32.

I would be looking at 1 of 3 players

    Erving
    DGB
    Peters

    WR: Strong or DGB
    CB: Peters or Collins
LB: Perryman, Harold, Kendricks, or Stephone Antony from Clemson
    OL: Fisher

Two other players I really like are Dawson from TCU and Hunter from LSU, but I don't know when they are going to drafted.

If there's an LT there the Jets really like and he's the BPA or extremely close (only percentage points behind), I think he has to be the pick. The Jets need to replace Brick in 2016, both because of his deteriorating play and his contract (over $14 million next year). If not, it will depend on who they took in round 1. If it was Mariota (I hope!), then it should be wide open. If it was an OLB, then I think it's anything but another OLB. If it was a WR, then it's anything other than another WR.

It all depends on what we get in the first round, but I would really love to move up in round 2 and take Beckham. Kid is gonna be a stud and I have a feeling he will go quick.

Would instantly solve our WR problem

My ideal draft is QB, WR, RB with our first 3 picks.

Hard question to answer. Depends on what we do in FA and with the first pick.

If the reports are true that we will be heavily active in FA on the defensive side I would imagine we would try and sign a CB and an OLB in FA, maybe a safety as well.

If we were to take Mariota at 6, I would look at receiver or OL in the second. Some guys that fit the bill are:

Dorial Green-Beckham - really think a team takes a chance on him in the first, but if not tough to pass up,

Andrus Peat - could drop down with the rise of Humphries and Clemming's at the combine.

Ereck Flowers - same story as Peat, had a decent combine.

Jake Fisher - another guy who's stock I believe is on the rise, but pairing Mariota with someone he is familiar with is tough to pass up.

Devin Funchess - he will be a receiver, he really can't play TE because he won't block, has some drop issues but I think he can be good value.

Phillip Dorsett - Jets spent a lot of time with him at the Senior Bowl, see him as a round 3 guy but listed him regardless

If we took either Cooper or White at 6, then I would look at OL in the second round.

If we took an OL at 6, then one of the above receivers would be the pick OR we could take a RB like Gurley, Gordon or Abdullah.

I basically agree with everything here except Funchess. Wouldn't touch him with a 10-foot pole. We don't need another WR with hands problems. We don't need another tweener TE/WR that can't really play either (Cumberland).

He did well in the bench press but had a horrible combine overall.

There's no way that your scenario works out, the odds are that the players you predict go before us or that we pass on them, that's the angry nature of the draft.

Yeah. Of all the top o-line prospects, I think he had the worst combine.

Dawson will definitely be available. Has great game tape but he ran almost 5 seconds in the 40 which will drop him
