I'm glad Leon is finally getting some good money. Hopefully he gets a decent chunk up front.

Good for him. Hopefully Seattle actually uses him in their offense instead of just as a KR

Leon signs new contract, what will Brad get?

Seattle Seahawks running back/special teams star Leon Washington agreed Tuesday to a four-year contract worth about $12.5 million, according to a source.

The deal could max out at $16 million. The guaranteed portion of the agreement is $3.5 million, a league source tells ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

    3.5 Million guaranteed.

3.5 out of 12 that can escalate to 16.

So only 30% of his salary is guaranteed.

I can imagine the non-guaranteed money is if he returns to form.

Fluffy numbers to look good, but he isn't getting paid that 6mil a year.

    Keels still fails.

Looks like his battle over money with the Jets worked out well for him. If he keeps running the way he did last season, he may only see a year or two of that contract.

Hmm. Still, he's being paid $3M a year. Take it out of the context of football, and the guy is being paid three million dollars for a year's work. Let's not lose too much sleep for him, eh?

Congrats to leon, a class guy and a really good player for us. It looks like things have worked out for both sides.
