Wow, it almost seems like Detroit has a plan.

Seattle has traded linebacker Julian Peterson to Detroit for defensive tackle Cory Redding and what is believed a 2009 fifth-round draft choice, a source told FOXSports.com.

Photos Redding agreed to restructure his contract to make the deal work. He signed a 7-year, $49 million deal with the Lions in 2007.

Peterson, 30, has been named to three straight Pro Bowl teams and five total.

Peterson ? who attended college at Michigan State ? spent his first six years in the NFL with the 49ers before signing with the Seahawks as a free agent in 2006.

The deal raises questions about Detroit's draft-day plans. The Lions hold the top overall pick and Wake Forest linebacker Aaron Curry had been suggested has a candidate for that spot.

He's a bit older now so idk if his skills dimished at all but he used to be a beast back in the day. I haven't watched too many Seahawks games lately (the last one I saw still depresses me)
