I am pleasantly surprised that my seats have not risen in price. I am Section 331..50 yd line..Stays at $70. Looks like price increases on sidelines of lower level and the entire mezzanine.
NEW PRICES: *Sections 109-113 & 129-133 will be $90 per ticket; *The rest of the lower tier will remain $70 per ticket; *The entire mezzanine will be $95 per ticket; *Sections 309-313 & 329-333 will remain $70 per ticket; *The rest of the upper level will be $65 per ticket.
yep i got the call yesterday i owe $1405 - tix must be $70.25 a piece -- not putting in playoff money really makes these seem expensive -- migh thave to seel a few games this year.
Staying at $65 for me, good deal. I thought for sure I would get screwed after getting out of last years hike. Dam, $95 for the mezzanine, that ain't right.....
$95 for my seats is brutal. I think I remember reading something about the new stadium in which the Jets said the mezz section is going to be some kind of special seats or private boxes or something. I don't know, but I think they're pushing the hell out of the mezz seats because they're trying to "weed out" people. Maybe as they get close to completion of the new stadium they plan on thinning out the number of seats through attrition... just surmising. I'm hoping if I hold onto these seats I'll get something really nice in the new place. Anyway... if we can get some WINNING seasons going here, I won't mind what I pay, it's just that right now it's a pain in the @ss when you've gone 4-12.
Puh-lease. I've sat in your section before, and the view is BEAUTIFUL. Nowhere I would I would rather sit than the Mezz and that's probably why they charge what they do.
$90!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope I don't sound like a wuse, but my wife is gonna flip, especially if there is another losing season. Don't get me wrong, she watches every game (most but not all from home). And when she goes to the game she always mentions how good the seats are (Section 132, row 33); I'm just hear about it when the check is written.
I would love the oppertunity to pay $1500 to $1800 a year for season ticks...I just live 5hrs north of the city so it makes this point moot. Be thankful you dont live in Bills country!
Wow, I used to sit a few rows behind there in the mid 90s. My friend used to get the seats, Sec 132, way back under the overhang, I think Row 35 or 36, right on the aisle. Those were awesome seats, but I like to be out in the open, not underneath.
I don't mind rain, that's football. I like seeing the sky and the scoreboard, too, not just those monitors. My wife differs, however, when it's raining.
Re: extra tix? If anyone is looking to unload a game or two, gimme a PM - big Jets fan, currently in law school, jealous of all you guys who can get and afford season tix! How bad do you think prices will rise in the new stadium? I'm a Bears fan, having grown up in Chicago, but now that i'm out here i've adopted the Jets. The Bears raised the prices a ton for their new stadium. - Joe
Not sure with all the people waiting years to get tickets that your "weeding out" theory would hold any weight. I did get a survey a while back asking what prices I would pay for "special seating" . As far as a new stadium goes, I wouldn't think the Mezz section would even apply... might not even be one in the new design.
I hope eventually in my hopefully long life, I'll one day be able to buy season tickets, and make it out to the games...of course, I'm still young and have maybe 50 Jet seasons left before I'm gone...
