So let's say they do clean house after the season. How do you think a potential tear down of the scouting staff would go? Do new guys come in to work side-by- side with the old guys until they are ousted? Or are we stuck with this dreck until after the draft? Honestly, the Jets are in a hell of a pickle with the entire organization a frigging mess. I want to blame the scouting dept for some of how the draft shook out but who knows how good or bad our actual scouts are when the decision makers are always idiotic and dysfunctional. When the axe falls the very first people out the door should be Ryan, Idzik, Mornhinwheg, Lal, Bradway, McGaughey, and Lee. I can't find fault with Thurman because I don't know if the guy is calling the plays, I sincerely doubt it. As far as I'm concerned the rest of the coaches are complete unknowns outside of Dunbar due to the fact they they have been given nothing to work with. As fans we haven't had a GM or coach that's had a complete picture mentality in forever, if ever. I'd like to be excited about this team moving forward next year with a "real" coach and/or a "real" gm; but I have my doubts.
There's like two "old guys" left in scouting department, the rest have been hired by Idzik in the past couple of years. Fire all of those motherfuckers the day after the regular season ends, and don't wait four months to sign a new GM. Also, throw Terry Bradway down an elevator shaft.
Bradway is the poster boy for this entire shit show. How do you fire a guy and keep him around in a key position like that. The whole point of firing him was that he failed at his job. Then you keep him around as the head of your teams future drafts? Again. he failed as the head evaluator and gatherer of talent. Why bet the teams future on THAT guy? I mean, how much of a loser is the guy that he didn't have the pride to walk away. Further more, who says he's not actively trying to sabotage the team. I mean he had to be secretly laughing himself silly after that "Cross between a gorilla and a terrier" garbage.
He was recommended by Parcells. Woody and Tanny had Fat Bill on speed dial for over a decade, and he continued to give them bad advice, and they continued to take it. We got stuck with Sparano because of that. Parcells made a lot of good decisions when they affected him, but every time he went to the press or the radio bragging about how he told the Jets to do something, the results were shit. Bradway was one of those.
