I watched a documentary (The Murder of Laci Peterson) last year that parsed a lot of stuff and raised some interesting points about Scott's possible innocence (robbery in the neighborhood, the dog running free, possible abduction), but mainly this one nutty juror. I always thought that Scott and Laci Peterson had an argument and that he killed her by accident and disposed of her body (there were experiments that it wasn't possible, boat would've capsized, etc.). The case was mostly circumstantial, and Peterson was the white OJ (running, passport, money). Very interested to see what happens and if he gets out on a technicality. I was always a little mixed about whether or not he did it with intent, but this will be one for the ages if he winds up getting sprung in the end. I doubt it, but you never know. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crim...nduct-claim-in-scott-peterson-case/ar-AAM42Oj EDIT: Link was broken, working again.
Didn't he dye his hair while he was on the run, too? He looked awfully guilty, but, I didn't watch the doc. I'll check it out.
He did. His atty and his family said he never ran, that he was moving freely between CA and Mexico and was just trying to stop being hounded. Sometimes I don't know what to believe anymore. JonBenet Ramsey, that's another murder mystery that will never be solved. The brother, what an odd ball, but I seriously don't think he had anything to do with it. He sued CBS for defamation and won. A part of me thinks the killer was some perv who went to her beauty pageants, but who knows. The Viscilla Axe Murders is really messed up also. Two smoked cigarettes were found in the attic, leading some people to speculate that someone was squatting there without the family's knowledge. I don't buy that, but that story is crazy.
No new trial, never getting out more than likely. The main thing that happened is that his death penalty has been overturned. Re-sentenced to life in prison without parole. Hot damn, reporting is just balls bad. Initially it was about getting a new trial. Anyway, Scott Peterson, did he plan it? He decided to off his 8 mos. pregnant wife on Christmas Eve Day, that's a pretty dumb plan. Did he do it? I certainly think so to be honest. I only created this thread for hypothetical reasons.
Why wasn't this represented that this was a bid to overturn Peterson's execution? His attorneys are gunning for a re-trial in February. Damn, just get journalism right
