Not sure how anyone can be "happy" with him. With money to spend, he completely and utterly ignored the secondary (even though the best cb in the FA class apparently wanted to come here). He was content to only sign Decker when we needed multiple WR's, and is just sitting on millions of cap room. It's become abundantly clear that Idik had nothing to do with Seattle's successful rebuilding.
those players need to STFU or they need to go. if you arent going to be part of the solution then you are part of the problem.
you mean he didnt go out and throw idiotic insane money at mediocure players? for a team with 0 chance to contend? how dare he! its like some fans want us to be a 6 to 9 win team forever
he had everything to do with it. who are the high priced corners and skill players that seattle signed to help turn them around? oh thats right, no one. great teams are built over a few years, not a few days
He had nothing to do with the Seahawks success,if he had that much to do with it another team would have offered him more money and let him pick his own coach
I would bet the #1 guy on that list is Rex Ryan, unless behind the scenes Idzik and Woody have told him he is locked in for 2015 no matter what, and this year is just a year to get experience for the young guys. He is going to get the blame for this year and it's really not his fault. Stick Revis on Nelson against the Packers and we win that game by 14+ points. Give Geno Desean Jackson and he would be 5th - 7th in yards and would have atleast 1 more TD. Idzik's biggest blunder so far is underestimating his own team. He thought they were one year away from being real contenders. They were ready right now, but he left them so depleted at WR and CB that they are going to go 8-8 or 7-9.
There scouting department deserves more credit then anyone else, the scouting department in the NFL is like the CIA ,they will never get credit and no one will ever know there names. They won't get a spot on the Superbowl parade float or get to hold the lombardi trophy either. But those guys are on the road 24-7 almost all year going from school to school. There the ones who find the hidden talent and take it back to the GM who then gets credit for it
Geno has plenty of yards. the issue is all the turnovers and redzone inefficiency. not, he didnt think we were 1 year away, he thought we were 2-3 years away and he is right. this isnt an 8 or 9 win team, this is a 4-7 win team at best. even with WRs and CBS in free agency we'd be fighting to win 8 games. we have a BAD team, 2 or 3 players dont fix that, several years and a dozen or so guys fix that
Geno needs to take better care of the football, but I'm not putting our red zone woes on him at all. The Red Zone is all about having receivers and TE's that can beat 1 v. 1. coverage and go get the football and especially with Decker out, he doesn't have anyone at all. He get trashed for throwing to Kerley the last play of the Bears game, but it's not like he has Calvin Johnson or Brandon Marshall on the other side. He's got David Nelson who has 5 catches this season for 33 yards. He's got Jeff Cumberland who is about as below average as it gets. He's got Amaro..........Oh wait he doesn't, because Marty is an idiot and is leaving him on the bench even though he is constantly getting open.
