Would love to see us at Miami...just seems like it would be a good game to start the year. Neither team was very good last year and both are going to want to start out on the right foot. A west coast game could make sense too. Jets @ San Fran would be nice too.
If its in SF, im there...I plan on going to the Raider game next year too. But with bodyguards around me....
Pre season looks boring. Week 1 TBA* @ Cleveland WCBS Week 2 TBA* Washington WCBS Week 3 TBA* New York WCBS Week 4 TBA* @ Philadelphia WCBS I'm hoping home to Cards first up, start at home and hopefully take the win.
You don't want to open in Miami...the humidity there is unbearable in September and over the years the Jets have fared much better there playing later in the year. Buffalo is possible, but I think the chances of opening on the WC (with four scheduled games out there) are much better. Look for Oakland or SF. Also, I wonder if the NFL will slide the Jets a favor and schedule a couple of those WC games back to back to save on the air miles and jet lag. With the current system in place the teams from the AFC East will be playing four WC games every 8 years.....
we will be on the road for the 1st game, we were home last year. I'd like a west coast- mid country- east coast 3 week swing or vice versa to start the year... that would test the new team pretty well.
(Not that I'm wishing this ) But it would be funny if the Jets had to play the Raiders in London.
The Giants are off that Sunday, so I say we get a home game and we get the Chiefs or the Cardinals. Hell, I want a winnable game.
thats a pretty shitty setup to have the afce have to go to the west 4 times in a year every 8 years. there just has to be a better way to do it. im sure everyone gets screwed pretty equally when it comes down to it. it just doesnt seem sensible and does make for quite a bit of travel for one division. and i would imagine would make the end of the year that much more difficult. one of those its not a huge deal at the time but it adds up by the end of the year.
i want a rather easy opening game. So i would want to face a team like st. louis, miami, or the raiders. That way the jets could possible get off to a good start.
Nothing would be better than starting with the Raiders. It will kill two birds with one stone. It's an easy game for the Jets to get into the win column first week and it will send Raiderjoe into hibernation earlier than expected. Can't go wrong..
Actually, the Raiders open up on Monday night against the Broncos. Maybe the 49rs instead. That would work almost as good.
Oh too bad, 49ers work just as good as far as getting a W on opening day but then we are still stuck with Raiderjoe until the Jets beat the Raiders. Hopefully it is not too late into the season then.
