I know there's a handful of UCF fans around, so I figured it's at least worth a day of trash talking. I personally don't feel all that strongly about how good Rutgers is, but I will fake it for the sake of making this thread worthwhile. My guess is a game that RU is controlling for most of the way, but the score will remain relatively close until about midway through the third, something like 17-10. The Knights will probably pull away towards the end as their run game gets more effective as the game goes on, and they'll add a late score or two to make the game seem worse than it actually was. Prediction: RU 27 - UCF 13
Get ready for the most boring game of the bowl season. George O'Leary's offense is borderline torture to watch. UCF has two of the nations top pass rushers, Bruce Miller and Jarvis Geathers, a long with one of the nations top young corners, according to Mel Kiper. If UCF can get their running game going, they'll get the victory. My main concern is RU receivers vs the UCF secondary, which is made up entirely of underclassman, minus Mike Greco, the Safety... who was the starting QB last season. Prediction UCF 24 - Rutgers 20
UCF has one of the top rushing defenses in the country allowing 82 yards/game (4th in FBS), their line can pass rush (^Bruce Miller is the man), and they are a second half team. If UCF should be concerned it's allowing Rutgers to pull ahead early, but after halftime is when they hit their stride. I think if the game is close at the half, the Golden Knights ride home victorious. I'm just ticked I couldn't make it down there! AH!
Game was brutal. Tim Brown is fucking nasty. I really can't handle another year of George O'Weary. This proved to be correct. Greco looked awful, but Rutgers was great at exposing our holes.
I hate Tim Brown. Every time I watch a Rutgers game I hear his name accompanied by the phrase "dropped pass".
