Fuck Rex Ryan. This entire regime from Tanny all the way down needs to be fired. One of those moments that makes me wonder why I'm still a Jets fan.
If the game Sunday was at home I'm all but certain McElroy woulda got the start. The anti Sanchez reaction woulda be deafinng from the pre game to any mistake throughout the game. I hope he has a good game, but if he struggles then I'd expect to see McElroy by halftime
This sounds like a business (money) decision to me. He'll finish out the year and they'll evaluate him over the offseason. He'll either restructure his deal or get cut/traded.
I was all for McElroy... but this is a great chance gor Mark to rebound. Worst pass rush in the league and overall shitty team... what more could you ask for to boost someone's confidence? However if he hasn't scored a TD come half-time bench him. I'm pissed at this... thought it was a great opportunity to ease in McElroy against supbar competition.
Playing a lousy 2-10 team with the 2nd worst defense in the league. Even though Rex claims the Jags as a "formidable opponent'...they suck. Sanchez will go out and throw 2 TD's on Sunday, as the Jets win easily.
If they are smart this is the game plan - run 35 times...throw 17 times....at least a 2 to 1 ration. Heavy dose of screen passes, rollouts, dump offs, this will allow Sanchez to use the weapons he has. I don't feel any of the receivers, aside from kerley, have a true grasp of the offense. Poor route running, poor play calling, and poor personnel choices are big issues. How many times has a throw been made and they go back to Sanchez and he is signaling what route the receiver should have run. As a QB you have to throw a ball based on where a receiver is supposed to be when the ball gets there -- more often than not the receiver is cutting the wrong way, cutting off a route, going around defenders...you see it every game.
Didn't see this one, i have to admit, many of you did though. I always thought that Rex would be hesitant to get rid of Sanchez but once the descision was made it would be a relief. If sanchez plays reasonable against poor teams he will have weakened his possibilities of changing QB until 2014? poorly played,
