http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap20...anchez-fans-in-philly-are-nicer-than-new-york Surprised by this low blow from Sanchez. He seemed like a classier guy. All I know is if Foles goes down in November he better not throw an interception. He may have to dodge a few snow balls from these "nicer" fans.
Where's that saying about 'the backup QB being the most popular guy in town'? Apparently Sanchez has never heard of the honeymoon period either, and it'll be mighty short in Philly if anything happens to Foles.
Sanchez is dead on. Jets fans used to bash the fuck out of Sanchez at practices, training camp and games. Some of the stuff those idiots used to say was completely uncalled for. Jets fans are generally pretty miserable people. You can't even be optimistic about the team without getting bashed for it. It's that bad. Jets fans don't get into fights with other team fans at home games, they get into fights with other Jets fans... Sad but true. I agree with Sanchez and that speaks volumes because Philly fans are assholes.
Just wait until you give up a game-losing six pick or throw into triple coverage from 15 with win on the line... Tell me how nice they are after THAT.
If he wants to say that AFTER he's gone through some adversity in Philly I'd have no issue with it....but I can't take it seriously when he says this freaking days after camp opened when he hasn't even thrown a preseason pass let alone one that actually counts.
Every time I watch an Eagles game, the fans are always booing. If he goes in there and throws a Pick 6 against the Cowboys on National TV, they won't be nice
Of course the Philly fans are nicer. They haven't had to deal with his shitty play. One bad series in a real game and they'll boo the hell out of him from then on.
If you are Mark Sanchez, CLEARLY Eagles fans are nicer than Jets fans have been to him the last few years. All he knows are boos. (Unless he gets hurt, then cheers) Most Jets fans who think Jets fans are good, have not experienced other fanbases. Jets fans are some of the worst in the NFL. Sad, but true. Especially on game days. The problem with Sanchez's comment, is Eagles fans are equally bad if not worse than Jets fans. Definitely not a nice group of people in the city of so called "Brotherly Love".
The fans in NY would've been nicer to him if he had played up to his draft position and contract. But in typical Sanchez fashion he can't take responsibility for his failures. Like NY was mean to him just for the fuck of it.
Sanchez is a pussy. Good riddance. I know Philly fans. He better pray he never gets in a game. Jets fans aren't anywhere near the bastards Eagles fans are.
You are absolutely lost in every respect if you think Jets fans touch Philly fans for the hate they will spew his way. Wait until his first pick 6. You really have no idea.
He thinks snowballs are bad wait till he takes a cheesesteak to the face. Then again.... Maybe he'll just enjoy the snack.
Like I said, Sanchez was treated like crap from the fans since the day he got drafted. He was always being called the weak-link, yet if the rest of the team had played as good as Sanchez did in the championship games the Jets would have 2 more Super Bowl appearances on their resume. Was it Sanchez's fault the defense blew an 11 points lead in Indy? Why is that the Ravens defense the week before held the Colts to 20, and the Saints defense held the Colts to 17 (and had a friggin pick 6). No one in their right mind can blame Sanchez for not reaching the Super Bowl, no one. If you want to point fingers at the 2011 season, you need to realize that the Jets getting to a 3rd straight championship with a new coach had never even been done before. I knew before 2011 that it didnt matter what happened, we werent getting the breaks needed to get to the Super Bowl.
Sanchez was treated like crap by the Jets fans and the media. He was used as the scape goat for all the teams woes. I totally agree with his feedback. Sad but true, unfortunately Jet fans can be some of the worst. Only an asshole will cheer when a player gets injured. I feel Barcs and Soxxx feedback is 100% on the money, however, I hope Mark performance does not soon force him to find out that Philly fans are right there at the bottom of the scale when it comes to classy. Unlucky for him he went from the heat of NY to the frying pan from hell in Philly.
Im telling you, as the years go on and the Jets fail to reach championship games, people are going to start reminiscing about 2009 and 2010. When I came to this forum, all anyone ever talked about was 1998. Every thread had someone mentioning 1998, and this was in 2009.... (And 2008 while I was lurking). So yeah, people want to **** on him now but lets see where the Jets are in a decade from now, lets see how many people start forgetting about the present and start clamoring for the days of when Sanchez was hitting Holmes in the endzone, or Sanchez hitting a TD on 3rd and goal in Indy to put the Jets up 8 points... Sanchez was definitely turbulent but when it came down to to it, he was NOT the reason we didnt reach the Super Bowl, and no one can debate that.
