So the orange line is a static "average" QB rating, the red line is the expected QB rating against the specific defense and the blue line is Sanchez against the specific defense.

    Interesting analysis.

hmmmm, so this year he played as expected against the Ravens and has been a monster in the past two weeks when compared to other QBs.

I love having a franchise QB

If they let him he'll put up big numbers this season. They're still forcing the run at times and going away from Keller and the receivers. Have hardly used Cotch at all and Santonio still is missing. It could be a passing offense variation of the Patriots if they allow it to be.

Seeing how well Sanchez has played these last two games. I still don't blame Sanchez for the game against Baltimore. It was a combination of pressure, Schotty calling the game not to lose and horrible drops.

Since the playoffs last year, the only thing that seems to negatively impact Sanchez is when expectations were through the roof. I mean NY is already a hard place to play...douse gasoline on that fire and its just too much pressure. In my opinion the Dolphins game has proved Sanchez improvement is real and not some fluke as the Pats fans you mentioned had said.

I think most people after that first game realized Schotty was the problem, and he immediately fixed the playcalling issues the very next week. He's done a great job the last two weeks, which has been integral to Mark's success.

Aside from week 1, going back through the end of the regular season and throughout the playoffs the kid has gotten better every week. If anything is a 'fluke' it would be week 1 not week 2.

I'm certainly not saying the kid is great, yet, by anybody's standard, but if I was a Pat's fan or fin fan I would not like what I see from Sanchez...

Is this what Pats and Colts fans feel like? Wow - almost Euphoric...

A couple more big games like the last 2 and we will be able to troll at other websites and just make posts that say...

    "Sanchez"

Zero interceptions so far. Wow, who would have predicted that? It's awesome.

He's playing lights out right now. When he gets Holmes into the lineup, I expect he'll do even better than he is right now. He's got so many great weapons around him.

The defense is short-handed. They need to force the run some to stop drives from being 2 minutes and out.

This is what excited me. I think when Holmes gets back, our offense will be exactly what people were salivating about this offseason!

He was a QB picked top 5 in the draft. There's a very high star or bust factor in play in those slots at QB. So if Sanchez looks good the odds are pretty good he'll be a major star and fairly quickly.

Yeah, I'd be unhappy about him if I was a divisional opponent.

Sanchez had 5 multi-int games last season, 17 of his 20 ints came in those games. The jets lost all 5 games. All of his non-multi int games were wins for the Jets last season, except the two in Miami.

Point being, Sanchez had some awful games last season but outside of the really bad outings he was pretty damn good for a rookie.

The fact that he's having good games now is a great sign for the future.

I'm thinking a solid 25 TD and 4-7 interception year for Sanchez.

This will be the start of a good season into an even better, solid career.

Do you know what the best part about his performance last night was? He stepped into the pocket to throw. Against Baltimore, and even a little against New England, he would back pedal, shift around a little then throw the ball. In this game he stepped into the pocket and threw some great balls. Last two games have been great, and he should benefit from a very weak Buffalo team next week in getting into a confident passing rhythm.
