I couldn't find a thread where this article was posted. If this already was posted in another thread, please merge. Since we are all talking about who can stay or go, I think this article by Jason who run nyjetscap.com would give some perspective. http://www.thejetsblog.com/2010/05/09/salary-cap-update-can-the-jets-extend-everybody/
You just posted an article from May of last year.... D'Brick/Magold/Revis have all signed and changed things.
I understand that I just wanted to give some numbers for what Cromartie, Holmes, Edwards, and Harris might cost and what their contracts might look like.
There's lot of uncertainity with the CBA but recent top ILB contracts (Dansby, Scott, Ryans) are in the 8 million a year range; good corners go from 6-10 million a year (Bodden was at 6 million, D. Robinson 9) good wideouts are 5-10 (Burleson was 5 a year, freaking Chris Chambers was 5 million a year). Cro, Holmes and Edwards have some question marks because of pre-Jets behavior. I think you'd be looking at Harris at 8 million, Cromartie at 7, Holmes at 7 and Edwards at 6 per year, all with 4-6 year deals an lots of money guaranteed
