Wow..I expected articles like this to eventually show up but not this soon. http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/32975810/ns/sports-nfl/
He is hurting for work and knew that a piece on the Jets right now would make him a few bucks. He would rather be writing romantic comedies.
Sounds like a bitter Pats fan... fuck him... and yeah.. he pats didn't talk... they just outright cheated
Retarted article. The Jets will get bandwagon fans because of Mark Sanchez's charming nature. The kid is going to be like Derek.
I really don't mind being that team, as long as we win. I remember feeling that way about the Ravens' Championship team.
I have never had a no. 12 jersey and I have been a fan since the 9th grade "The typical Jets fan is male, about 26-35, built like Weeb Eubank, and has been wearing the same No. 12 jersey since the sixth grade"
stupid article...The Jets right now are what is good about the NFL. They are outspoken, confident, get the fans involved, foster an environment of team first, play hard from first tick to last tick, believe they are a good team, make people want to watch, and earn their money. Yeah I can see how that is upsetting to reporters that think Ochocinco and TO are what football is really about.
"It’s just that the Jets have a chance to build a legacy of football excellence, but they’ve chosen to get there by crawling through a mud wrestling pit. And that’s too bad..." This is a factual statement guy's I hate to admit it but it's true, pretty soon we will have the Pacman Jone's of the world on our team and we won't like it.
Built like Weeb Ewbank? I'm willing to bet dollars that the typical Jets fan is way more in shape than the typical Pats one.
I like being the hated team. Will add even more to the games and will keep fans motivated to keep up the noise that some of us were apart of on Sunday. But yes, like others have said in this thread, sounds exactly like a bitter New England fan who sees the end of the yellow brick road of success up there.
This guy ends his story with an anecdote about Buddy Ryan and how he said "he's put the ball on the floor 3 times," and how Ryan "had to eat some crow." Uh, guy...according to your own story, Dickerson ran for only 46 yards and the Rams didn't score a point. Maybe he didn't fumble the ball 3 times, but holding the NFC's most dynamic RB to less than 50 yds. and not giving up a point in a Championship game, I don't think the man was eating crow after that game. What a moron! Not to mention a typical Jets fan is 26-35? Last time I checked there's fans of all ages. And he compared our physiques to that of a dead man's (God rest his soul). This hack writes for NBC sports?? Are you kidding me. What editor let this out of the bag. I have to admit, though, don't mind one bit being a team people hate. We're from NY, they're gonna hate us anyway. Go fuck yourself.:metal:
Everyone's gonna hate a team that hasn't won in 40 years? Don't think so. And BTW, all these media types saying "Jet fans have to calm down" should STFU as well. I don't see Jets fans going nuts, I see for the most part cautious optimism (no other type for a Jets fan) Its these media assholes that overhype everything, then blame the fans for going nuts. Shove it.
