To follow up my Terrance Ganaway post, here's another kid who (IMO) looks to have the skill set to come in and compete for playing time this year... http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1635698 http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=89248&draftyear=2012&genpos=CB Pro Day Results: Dates: 03/09/12 Height: 5104 Weight: 195 40 Yrd Dash: 4.55 20 Yrd Dash: 2.70 10 Yrd Dash: 1.59 225 Lb. These were the only vids I was able to find (couldn't find any full games), but he shows *great* cover skills, doesn't shy from contact and has very good awareness / play recognition. Really, he's all over the field in these highlights. And I know, I know, he's just another UDFA at this point, but being that we're thin at safety I think he's got a better chance than others to make it into TC and beyond, depending on how quickly he picks up the defense...
Would be great if he can play well enough to be the 4th CB. Would rather develop a young player than bring in an established vet who's on the downside for this role.
He's always looked solid in Cover 2, something we run a lot, he has a chance to make this roster, and I certainly hope he does.
Donnie Fletcher has some good abilities as well. Good size at 6'1" 200lbs and ran an unofficial 4.38 at his pro-day. He seems like an interesting FS prospect for the Jets.
