I absolutely hate this. I think they played real stiff last time at least in part because Rex made the game something bigger than it was. Looks like he's doing it again.

    fuck.

    Have to agree.

This is huge game for the Jets. Bring it!

Yeah, this feels really big. But there was life before Rex. I remember watching some games that I thought were pretty huge at the time.

I find it hard to disagree, but only if we win. If we lose I don't think it sends us into a tailspin that we don't get out of for 10 years. But if we win it could finally get us past the Belichick led Patriots.

Wasn't the AFC Championship game last year big?

We win that we're in the SB. We win this and we're where we were last year.

LOL, lot of W's in that sentence

Hmm, I don't know if it is a bigger game than 1982 or 98 Championship games. They were for the SB and we had very strong teams both years, but you have to hand it to Ryan, he's got enormous balls. If we don't win, he's lost the second biggest game in franchise history. That won't be great for his resume.

He's confident we're coming out on top obviously.

    I don't know.

I'd have to say that Jets v Cardinals October 27, 1996 was the second biggest game.

The players have to be used to his schtick by now. I don't think that'll be an issue, they probably realize what's on the line. All that should be on their minds is avenging that disgusting MNF embarassment and silencing the haters.

Sorry for the sarcasm, but I'm really getting worn out from all the talk!!

Let's play the game already, and let the Internet blogger geniuses, sports historians, loser columnists, and talk hosts figure out how important the game was.

    ". . . and Sanchez takes another knee as the clock winds down to :02, :01 . . ."

It's only going to be huge if the Jets win, because of what that would mean, turning a corner and all against the team that has basically controlled the division.

NE was demolished last year, and the Jets went much further in the playoffs, but since that did not involve a face to face matchup, it wasn't as big in terms of who sits atop the AFC East.

A loss means NE is for one more year, and that is not so big. A win? Huge.

On a side note my wife has already informed me she does not want me to feel too bad about a loss. She has paid more than the usual attention this year, because of the combination of heart stopping late wins and the whole media persona of Ryan (she writes). She thinks the Jets have already accomplished much, and that NE has the best record, so a loss this weekend should not be devastating.

What she leaves out is I hate the Pats. Add that in, and a loss will suck big time.

I promise not to hit the wife, though. But after that, all bets are off.

Either way, I intend to watch the Jets Post Game Show. Anyone else here a regular viewer? It's as rewarding after a loss as a win, so I will be there, win or lose.

Your wife is right, of course. Then again, she's probably looking at it objectively.

Since the Jets have been effing with my head for over four decades, I feel qualified to say this:

Never let yourself get too high when they win, or too low when they lose.

(Of course - I never follow this advice. I couldn't even watch last week as Folk lined up for the field goal.)

Thanks. I've noticed that many people who post here are highly skilled in the art - with thick enough skin to go with it on the receiving end.

It may work out to be the second biggest...if the Jets win this week AND next. If the Jets lose, it's far from the second biggest - just more confirmation of the status quo of them being kings and us being wannabees. And if the Jets win and then lose next week, how much will this week really mean?

If the Jets win this week and next week wouldn't the Superbowl and AFCCG be bigger, making this weeks game no bigger than 4th (at best) all time.

I don't see any scenario where this game could be considered a legit 2nd most important in team history.

What a disaster it would be if you all get manhandled again...So much talk...so little action.

I think he's right. The spotlight of the nation is squarely on the game in Foxboro on Sunday. To have the opportunity to come into your biggest rival and the most decorated team of this decade and beat them would be huge. Especially given the Jets' past history of losing and despair. Winning this game would legitimize Rex's bravado.

You must have some exciting life?

Little action, what is your joke of a team doing now?

I don't get how your trollish behavior is tolerated.
