Too bad it wasn't on television. I don't understand that. I live in New Jersey and I can't even watch a New Jersey Division 1-A football team on tv.
I was down in Annapolis for the game. It was fairly closely matched in the first half, but the Knights just laid down a beating in the second. Teel was hitting his WRs in stride, and it seemed once a WR made the catch in the middle of the field he was just gone. Underwood really stepped up. As for the leg injury, it looked like his leg below the knee was just twisted very awkwardly as he laid there on the ground. I thought it was a break at first, but dislocated knee makes sense with the way it looked.
Corso was an idiot, anybody who watches CFB knows that Rutgers run D is very good, top 10 in the nation I believe. Navy can't do anything but run the ball. All Rutgers had to do was shutdown the run and they did and this game would have been a blowout which it was.
how would anyone know that w/ the caliber of teams RU has played? I want RU to win and I hope they are for real but we have no clue b/c of the crappy teams they have played.
They should win these next two games. That'll get them to 8-0. I'll root for them against Louisville in what will be a nationally televised Thursday night game on November 9th. They will probably lose it. Then they should batter Cincinnati and Syracuse. If all goes according to plan, December 2 at Morgantown will be a game between the 10-1 Scarlet Knights and the 11-0 Mountaineers.
Both louisivlle and WVU have nopt been very impressive this year and are products of a weak sched(though at least UL tried w/ scheduling Miami but it turned out Um sucks). neither team deserves to be in ttile consideration.
It's not WVU's fault the ACC is not up to snuff. They scheduled the game against Maryland a few years back when the Terrapins were actually good. Obviously, they had a couple cupcake games against non-conference opponents which makes them similar to just about every major team in college football. If they finish undefeated and Ohio State is the only other undefeated team they better play Ohio State in the title game or I'll give up taking college football seriously. I already think it's almost a major joke now.
I'm supremely confidant that WVU could beat the tar out of any team in the ACC, as could Louisville most likely. For that matter, Pittsburgh and Rutgers could probably beat just about any team as well. The ACC is talented, but it's the worst coached, least developed conference in the country; early declarations have crippled programs, and the coaching staffs are not good enough to develop new studs.
Yeah, that's part of the Maryland state flag. I'm shocked they're doing this well. I've watched Rutgers football for years and while they have gotten better, I keep waiting for them to revert to old form. Nice to see they haven't. I'm curious to see how far they can go in the next couple of years, now that the foundation has been put in place.
That's not exactly true, Frank Beamer is an outstanding coach and he has turned some joke in the mountains of Virginia into a national power. I think Amato at NC St is a pretty good coach as well because his teams always seem to beat a much more talented Florida State team. Considering that Raliegh isn't exactly Florida he has done a job with that program. Ralph Fridgen is an outstanding coach as he turned Maryland once a doormat in the ACC into a team that consistently competes for a bowl game although they suck now. Now if you wanna talk about Al Groh or Larry Coker I'll listen....
