pro football weekly says a priority for us in the draft, is a running back. do you think they know what thier talking about?
they also say mcfaddens stock is dropping fast, and that his team mate might even be picked before him. thoughts?

    no

i don?t think mcfadden?s stock is dropping, but Mendenhall is rising fast but i don?t think it has much influence on DMC. Aside from the fact that they?re both RBs, they are as different prospects as it gets.

Actually, I don't think they know what they are talking about. I would not say running back is a need for us. A quality running back is a "nice to have" but not a necessity. We can function just fine without McFadden or any other RB.

What is important is listening to the buzzes. We do have Faneca on radar. We do have Bell on radar. We do have Adams on radar, but I think we are positioning for a second round of the draft move here at Tackle.

Then there is the Jenkins deal or Rogers involving DRob and/or Vilma. I think Jenkins would be a much better acquisition.

I still think Vilma or DROb is available after the dust settles on that trade so we could still get somebody else somewhere or a pick.

The good news is, and I feel confident about this, is that I think the Jets FO and Mangini have come up with a plan at addressing our obvious needs. The Rumors we have heard are all in the areas that we have identified over the past couple of months, so that is good news.

Some good stuff is going to happen tomorrow.........depending on what happens over the next week, really identifies our full options going into the draft which have to include at least the possiblility of going with a McFadden with the #6 pick. But, we could go Gholston just as easily if available.

Running back is not a priority for us at all. Compared to other weaknesses we have, it is actually a team strength lol.

maybe we're just blowing smoke, so if dmacc falls to 6, we can hold up dallas for the extra picks?
