I'm sorry, but it needs to stop. Chris Johnson is an ineffective ball carrier and he's taking carries away from Chris Ivory. Ivory was even catching the ball well. I seriously don't care how much we have invested in the guy, I want to see wins. Powell should be getting more carries than Johnson. Johnson should only see the field if Ivory is hurt or ineffective. To this point, neither of those things have happened. Ivory is simply not getting enough carries. It should be 15-20 per game, not 10. On a sidenote, the playcalling was once again terrible in the RZ, especially in that last couple minutes. We had plenty of time to run the ball, especially when it was 3rd and short multiple times. You have two downs at that point. Take advantage of them. We saved way too much time.
I have to agree here. I loved the addition of Johnson. His open field skills are amazing. But Ivory needs to be our featured back. Let Johnson catch balls out of the backfield.
What happened to Ivory? He went ghost. So did Deck. Probably a concussion, goodbye to our only 2 weapons.
I'm fine with the RB by committee but MM is doing it wrong. Ivory should be our first RB, as he is great at wearing opposing players down and getting yards after contact. Bring in CJ once the defense tires out and Powell for obvious passing downs. But I don't expect a crappy OC to figure that out.
