Elway not wanting Tebow to go to a horrible team and be successful, forced his hand to trade Tebow for a 5th and move up from 7th to 6th, so Tebow could be sidelined...

What if the Jets made this move to trade Tebow for an even higher draft pick, say a 2nd rounder from the Jaguars. How could the new owner refuse considering the backlash in Jacksonville as a result of allowing Tebow to slip away again? How would you guys feel about such a trade?

Tebows worth ought to be measured by his accomplishments rather than his style points. I love this article.

The facts show that Tim Tebow is off to a better start as an NFL quarterback than many of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. Through his first 16 starts, Tebow won more games (9) than Peyton Manning (3), Troy Aikman (3), Steve Young (3), Aaron Rodgers (5), Matthew Stafford (6), Sam Bradford (7), Eli Manning (7), John Elway (8), and Drew Brees (8). Tebow accomplished that with a team that was 1-4 before he took over, and had won only 7 of its last 24 games.

In his first 16 starts, Tebow led his team to a playoff victory. None of these other greats did that. In fact, it took Peyton Manning, one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, five full NFL seasons to lead his team to a playoff victory.

In his first playoff game, Tebow threw for 316 yards in a winning effort...

If the Jags offered a third we should turn around and trade him to the Jags for a 3rd + a 6th.

If the Jags are willing to do it, I say pull the trigger and make the move.

I think before the end of the day or it is all said and done Tebow is a Jaguar.

But there is this to contend with as well...

RT @AdamSchefter: Filed to ESPN (1): Denver and Jets have encountered hangup in language in Tim Tebow's contract that could nullify trade.

Jags FB page is lighting up with the possibility of Tebow still coming to them, and that the trade with the Jets might not be complete. One can still dream right?

Why is the OP allowed to create threads? This is ridiculous, Elway despises Tebow so much he would hurt his franchise? Really...STFU.

Elway has a reputation to maintain, the last thing he needs is Tebow emerging on a team that would start him and allow him to be successful. Elway figures no way Tebow starts in NY, so his reputation is safe, never underestimate how far an elitist prima donnas ego will go to maintain his status quo reputation.

If you could have seen Elway disapointed when the team was having success with Tebow then you would understand where I am coming from. Elway hates Tebow, I mean he just traded his back up QB that took them to the play-offs for a 5th round pick, despite not having a back up QB. How much do you have to hate a guy to do that, especially with a QB who is one hit away from being dead.

Im pretty sure his reputation wont be marred when all he has to say if Tebow ends up playing well is, " I had to sign Peyton fucking Manning"

    Broncos WR's suck
    Broncos TE's suck
Broncos Defensive line now Bunkley is traded suck
    Broncos offensive line sucks
    Broncos secondary sucks

Manning is going to get killed attempting to play behind that line, Tebow's mobility is what turned the teams season around from a 1-4 start to making it to the second round of the play-offs.

When Manning goes down he is going to take the franchise and Elway with him, especially if tebow is actually having success this season with a team willing to give Tebow a shot at actually starting this season.

Elway did not have to sign Peyton, he needed to restock his team with the 30 Mil he is giving Payaton Manning.

It is not a done deal yet...

I don't think so, Manning is and always has been a choker, yet every dog has his day. He has always been on a solid team in this league, with a phenomenal line to play behind, now that is taken away, he is going to choke even harder knowing how he is just one hit away from being crippled or dead.

I give Payaton 5-6 weeks into the season before he retires...

Don't they have Von Miller and Dumervill still that can create havoc on the line?
