Since the Jets have 3- 4th Round picks, I'm listing a number of players the Jets could target in Rd 4: Ross Cockrell, CB, Duke Martavius Bryant, WR, Clemson Shayne Skov, LB, Stanford Demarcus Lawrence, OLB, Boise State Jordan Tripp, OLB, Montana Hakeem Smith, S, Louisville Dri Archer, Athlete, Kent State Dontae Johnson, CB, North Carolina State Crockett Gillmore, TE, Colorado State Robert Herron, WR, Wyoming Ty Zimmerman, S, Kansas State Michael Schofield, OL, Michigan Paul Richardson, WR, Colorado Craig Loston, S, LSU Tre' Boston, DB, North Carolina Dakota Dozier, OG, Furman Caruan Reid, DL, Princeton Antoine Exum, S, Virginia Tech Arthur Lynch, TE, Georgia Gabe Ikard, C, Oklahoma
Great news that they'll now have three 4th round picks. Demarcus Lawrence would be a terrific value in the 4th. It seems like Jordan Tripp's game could translate to ILB in the 3-4; he'd be a nice addition I'd add RBs Charles Sims of West Virginia and James White of Wisconsin to the list as guys who can at least contribute as receivers and blockers on third down. Also could be a spot to consider a QB depending on value. I also like CB Rashaad Reynolds of Oregon St and T.J. Jones of Notre Dame. So many great options and possible early contributors to be had
Skov is a stud. If Harris is going to be moving on at relatively soon, I'd easily take him in the 3rd.
Keith McGill, Vic Hampton, Stanley Jean-Baptiste, EJ Gaines, Jaylen Watkins, Chris Davis, Bashaud Breeland, Purifoy
WW85, do you really think Hakim Smith and Crockett Gilmore will go in the 4th round? I really like both players, but haven't seen either ranked that high. I've seen both listed as 6th round picks most frequently. I haven't seen Dontae Johnson ranked that highly either, I've seen him mostly as a 7th round pick. My favorites from that list would be: Craig Loston Dakota Dozier Dri Archer Crockett Gillmore Hakeem Smith Jordan Tripp Shayne Skov Ross Cockrell Michael Schofield Demarcus Lawrence
To add to the list: Bruce Ellington WR - To return punts and develop as a receiver. C.J Fiedorowicz TE - I could see him dropping to the 4 we got from the Bucs. Zach Mettenberger QB - As a developmental QB. Ed Reynolds FS - Could drop to the Bucs pick.
Hakeem Smith was a solid player along side Pryor, and could be a 4th Rd pick, it depends how many Safeties start comng off the board in the mid rounds where he will be drafted. Gillmore really helped himself Senior Bowl week, he can get downfield and make big catches. Dontae Johnson is a big corner, just what's in vogue in the NFL. Johnson hasn't got a lot of recognition, but should be a mid round pick, if not higher, his stock is on the rise.
this is a great opportunity for Idzik to find some value. I don't think Fiedorowicz lasts until the 4th but would be very happy to add him if he does. With these 3 picks I envision a DB, WR, and OG. That's an assumption on my part that we go some combination of WR, TE, S, or OLB with our 1-3 picks. Of course round 1 will be BPA so it may even be another DL or maybe OT.
I like the highlighted guys in the 4th round. Add: Josh Huff, WR, Oregon Marion Grice, RB, Arizona State Cameron Fleming, OT, Stanford Dezmen Southward, S, Wisconsin
Definitely some interesting possibilities there. I would be less pissed at Idzik for not addressing the CB position if he can turn a 4th round comp pick into a reasonably talented CB...not expecting a world beater but someone who can at least play some snaps this year if not start.
OK, thanks. I really like both Smith and Gillmore. In spite of living in NC, I haven't heard much about Johnson.
