    New coordinator Gunther Cunningham says the Lions' defensive scheme will be based on players, not the other way around.

    Cunningham won't take the Eric Mangini route and use a scheme that doesn't fit the players. "The scheme is secondary," he says. "The players are No. 1." The new defense is still sure to use press coverage in the secondary and more blitzes than Rod Marinelli's did. It's also a strong bet to be a 4-3.

    It is true, those guys at Rotoworld like to take a lot of cheap shots at players and coaches.

    I wouldn't be surprised if the guy that made that report was a Jets fan.

    That's easy to say since that team is already a 4-3 team, and he's a 4-3 coach.
