I wonder league-wide, what's the percentage of players who are drafted, actually stay on their team in a three-yer span?
I know it was reported that he was cut but was he or put on IR? In the end it makes no difference and I'm sure he won't be back and the cap hit is the same either way. I guess that at least keeps him from going to the Pats for one year and coming back to burn us.
You mean besides panicking when he didn't take a QB round one and everyone wanted his head, so he took Hackenberg in the second round even though he should have been a day three pick?
Yea I bet that's it. Macc probably took Hackenberg in the second because "everyone" wanted his head after not taking Lynch in the first. Nevermind the private workouts and meetings and reports saying he loved Hackenberg before the first round even kicked off. You know what man I think you nailed it! Jesus tap dancing Christ, are you serious dude?
Once Sheldon Richardson makes his return from a week one suspension, one would think that Lawrence Thomas (DE) is a dead man walking as one of the final cuts (on the bubble). Thus far I'd have to say that Lawrence Thomas (as an undrafted rookie, out of Michigan State) has been my biggest surprise in terms of making it this far/not being cut.
Really? I remember around the time of the Redskins game he was taking reps with the starters (I think). To me Howsare and Williams are the shocks. Both guys are unimpressive as all hell and there are better players available at their positions.
no way in hell howsare is going anywhere, he is a converted linebacker who can road block for the running back, Lawrence Thomas will be gone, Williams will also be gone
At this point I think that ship has sailed. We would have cut one of the two turd backs two weeks ago when he made his visit. I also think that it may have something to do with the fact that we can't offer as many carries as these guys probably want. And by "these guys" I mean guys like Williams, Hillman, maybe Forsett.
Where the peeps that were saying "he's not injury prone, he didnt miss games in college!" when I said you dont take a kid that high in the draft who's already had FOUR surgeries by the time he finished college. It's a shame..... too many draft picks down the tubes. This is what turned the Jaguars into garbage
One right here, not hiding, been posting in this and the other thread. And you are correct, he did not miss a game in college. I am very impressed that you know so much over just about every football analyst on the planet, who had him going first round, many in the top 5 -10. Could you please explain how his Achilles tendon, hamstring and wrist have anything to do with the prior shoulder surgery or the other minor surgeries he had in college. Being a Jet fan I am sad that this pick didn't work out, not because I liked the pick - because I want them to win. Just as I am sad Gholston did not work out even though I hated the pick, Just as I will be sad if Devon Smith doesn't work out even though on draft day I said on here it was a horrible pick and he will be a bust. But I am glad you can gloat over a Jets players not living up to potential.
HAHA...... who's gloating? Can you not read "It's a shame..... too many draft picks down the tubes."? It sucks that this guy (and many others) did not work out.... it's why this team sees very limited success. My point is that people WAAAAY over think shit. .... Gholston, another example in college (which I thought he looked like shit in limited viewing time) If someone is repeatedly getting hurt, pretty good odds that that shit will roll over into when it matters (it's been proven time and time again)........ but what's funny is how personally you took that. Are you John Idzik?
