I am not going to suggest that Roger Clemens is a mercenary BUT, a day after he signs up for $18million or so on a prorated basis, Clemens is golfing today. Thats right. GOLFING. He received a promotional amount, I would guess $100,000 or so to golf at Continental Airlines Annual golf tournament. SO instead of bowing out, and returning the fee, he is out golfing. I cannot believe that all these contracts do not have OUT clauses, but NO, Roger wants the $100,000 instead of getting his ass down to Kentucky or Tampa to begin his workout routine. Of course, Continental Airlines is based in Houston, Texas. Are you connecting the dots?

Roger had said he was coming over to NY to golf. Regardless of the Yankees or not, I don't think it's a big deal that he was golfing. It's okay. He was throwing the ball around after the game yesterday, when the stadium was empty.
