Flying out with my family for Sunday's game. Holy moly are we excited for this one! 1) Who else is coming out!?! Gonna make it raucous! 2) Anyone know where the Jets are staying. 3) If any of y'all are at the Westin, would love to get together for some pre-game.
Well have a good trip. I already went to Dallas this year and Denver was my second preferred destination. But flights are unnecessarily expensive. I decided to spend money on a Vegas trip to watch Jets there. Enjoy your time in Denver. Sorry couldn't help you on your questions.
Well i no longer call Colorado home, but there are plenty of NY'ers there so you should be in good company. Enjoy!
Savannah, Ga., y'all. My wife's daughter and her husband moved here a couple of years ago and we thought it was a nice place to move to get away from all the cold and snow of the mountains. I'll sure miss our little "ranch", but things change.
Went to Denver a few years back with some friends for a concert at Red Rocks, had a fantastic time! I know you didn't ask for food recommendations but I would highly encourage you to check out Denver Biscuit Company one morning for breakfast/brunch, if that's your kinda thing, and get the Giant Biscuit Cinnamon Roll. Very good. Denver is awesome though! Hope you all have a blast!
I'm flying out Saturday morning, son got nosebleeds seats a few months back just in case he can't get the 50 yd line lowers from one of the directors of his company. I'm thinking with as bad as Denver has been we will be getting the good seats but even the uppers were not bad last time we went. If you have time check out Meow Wolf, an immersive art experience they call it. The kids will love it also. If not Dinosaur Ridge is a nice area for the kids near Red Rock I passed the DBC on Broadway twice the last time, kept seeing Atomic Cowboy on the door Went to El Five last time in Denver and Linger the trip before. Both excellent restaurants as are the rest of Edible Beats restaurants.
You staying at the downtown Westin? You'll be right near Great Divide and a bunch of other good breweries. My son is down by DTC and Cherry Hills Village
I've seen the Jets in Denver twice, both breaking losses. Championship game in 99 and the Tebow game in 2011. Two different stadiums, similar results. No idea where you should stay, but it's a fun city. Should be a bunch of Jets fans out there, they always travel well and both times I was in Denver there were tons of them. I've been to Coors Fields and Pepsi Center, but never Mile High. I hope it is similar there for you and is much cheaper overall than stadiums in the Northeast
For a second there I was thinking I might have just been typing what was on my mind, that being beer.
So doesn't seem too many going but just seeing if anyone is going to be tailgating. We'll probably be hitting Tivoli Brewing pregame
In Colorado but I'll be watching from a sports bar somewhere . Just moved here so still building up finances haha. Enjoy the game!
I moved to Denver back in January, and was at the game yesterday. I was sitting a little under the retired Bronco numbers section. Great view and well worth the price. Had a great time with friends, and very happy we got the win.
My SIL was gonna fly out to Denver with her husband to see the game, spend a week out there, check it out. She tripped and fell at Disneyland last Friday and broke her wrist so the trip to Denver got canceled. Maybe she gets a couple of million bucks out of Disney, who is to say. So that was my Rocky Mountain High (Who's Coming to Denver?) Story. I hope you all enjoyed it. All of my stories are true.
I forgot to add that it was a terrible day at the airport. The flight from Orlando to Newark with a broken wrist the next day was no damn good. Details tomorrow.
