Well who knows what’s going to happen with the Watson sweepstakes but I have a feeling we will bow out once the price becomes too high and take another path.

Free Agency - We certainly have a lot cap space but I think we are not in a spot to start spending like a drunken sailor this off-season. I think our cap space is a position of strength and there are a lot of teams in cap hell! So I think if we do add a true impact player(S) it will be through trade not through free agency. However, I feel bringing in a guy who knows the offensive system Mike LaFluer wants to run. I also think bringing in a young accomplished WR will help develop this team.

CJ Beathard QB - 2 years $10 mil

Juju Smith WR - 5 years $75 mil

Trades - The Jets have draft capital and cap space to make moves. I truly feel a lot of trades are going to go down this year for us and here us what I feel will unfold.

Darnold to Indy for 2nd 2021 + Cond 4th (If he resigns) - We need to move on from Darnold and Darnold needs to move on from the Jets. Indy is a place I could see him have a chance to revive his career.

Zack Ertz to Jets for 5th 2021 - Philly is in Cap hell around -60 million. They will be moving assets around for sure and JD has relations there. Ertz is a perfect security blanket for a rookie QB underneath.

#2 overall to Bengals for #5 overall + 1st 2022 + 2nd 2021 - Bengals get Sewell and we get a bounty of picks to rebuild with.

    2021 Draft

-1 (CIN) - Zach Wilson QB - He’s a boom or bust pick and needs time to develop. CJ Beathard can teach him the system for a year and is will do wonders for him. If he starts day 1 he could bust harder than Darnold due to lack of competition and talent at BYU. However, his arm talent is amazing! The ball fly’s out of his hand like Brett Favre, Mahomes, ARod. Btw all these guys sat for at least a year before they got their opportunity!

-1 (SEA) Najee Harris RB - This kid is an absolute-stud! Can run it up the gut, runs left, runs right, catches out of the back field, blocks, has elite balance, speed, size, athleticism, recognizes blocksdevelopment, can run around you or over you and is pro ready. Reminds of Kamara mixed with Zeke.

-2 - Robert Hainsey G - Had a solid season and impressed all week at the senior bowl. He’s an absolute rock in pass protection and gets downhill in the run game. Easily becomes a starting LG for us.

    - 2 (CIN) - Tyson Campbell CB - A raw talent with excellent ball skills, long corner, with athleticism, decent speed, will match up on big receivers and give them problems especially in the red zone.

-2 (Indy) - Kadarius Toney WR - He’s a speedster with playmaking ability and can do punt returns/kick offs. He would definitely our guy to take the top off defences and help keep safeties out of the box for Najee. He had a good senior bowl week and has a solid frame for a speedster. Reminds me of Henry Ruggs.

    - 3 - Payton Turner DE - In RS defence the front 4 are real important piece to the puzzle and keep adding prospects with pro size and athleticism will go a long way. Turner has all the measurables to become a solid pro.

-3 (Sea) - Thomas Booker EDGE - Played well for Stanford all year. Definitely a boom or bust pick but has high upside with his physical attributes and football IQ. Could be the steal of the draft if it all comes together for him.

-4 - Royce Newman G - I love this kid from Ole Miss. He’s big, nasty, can pass protect and run block at a high level. He’s played both RT and guard. We can plug him in at RG or cut Fant and put him at RT

-5 (NYG) - Marcus Murphy S - Here is the ultimate boom or bust pick! Simply because he doesn’t have a lot of tape at Mississippi state but man does he flash greatness. I think he falls to the 5th round based on the unknown but this kid is a ball hawk that would need time to develop.

-6 - Evan McPherson K - He’s the best kicker in college football the last 2 years and should be a good pro. Worth the risk as our kicking can get much worse.

Going into the 2022 draft we would have 3 first rounders with our pick the Bengals pick and Seattle’s pick. A FQB ready to start and a ton of cap space too.

I don't expect a RB to be taken before day 2. And Olave is returning to Ohio State.
