Now that we know our compensation picks here is my Jets Draft 2.0!

Round 1) Darqueze Dennard, CB, Michigan State
An obvious need plus he will one of the best players on the board. Very talented corner with solid press man skills Rex loves.

Round 2) Davante Adams, WR, Fresno State
Adams is a very reliable receiver with good hands, speed and technique. He would be a nice compliment to our receiving core.

Round 3) Cyril Richardson, G, Baylor
Winters has been a bit of a project and inconsistent in his first year. Guard is a position of need here and Cyril is one of the best in the draft.

Round 4) Martavius Bryant, WR, Clemson
A boom or bust pick with excellent size and speed.

Round 4) Tre Boston, S, North Carolina
A ball hawk that can move all over the field and is a true FS we need. Hopefully he can learn under Reed for one season.

Round 4) Adrian Hubbard, OLB, Alabama
Definitely a project for Rex but has all the physical tools to be an effective pass rusher.

Round 5) Marion Grice, RB, Arizona State
Grice is a multi tool back. He can catch the ball as well as he can run it. MM has had plenty of success with those types of RBs.

Round 6) Arthur Lynch, TE, Georgia
With Cumberland signed, Lynch would be a solid blocking TE that can still make a big redzone play.

Round 6) Chris Davis, CB/KR, Auburn
Davis would be more a special teams KR but could fill in at corner if injuries happen.

Round 6) Kirby Van Der Kamp, P, Iowa State
We need a punter and this kid is the best in the biz coming out this year.

Round 6) Aaron Colvin, CB, Oklahoma
Would probably sit next season out but is a top notch value pick here.

    Round 7) A.J. Tarpley, ILB/OLB, Stanford
Tarpley is just a solid football player that mostly plays ILB but can jump to the outside to confuse coverages. He would probably start on special teams and move up if there are injuries.

Drafting another DB in round 1 would be worth it just to see the Jets "fans" explode on TV when the pick is announced. Solid draft that would fill a bunch of needs, particularly all the potential in round 4. I would take this draft and not look back. Nice job.

Not a huge Dennard fan. I don't see a scenario where he could possibly be the BPA at 18.

I'd sign up for Gilbert. Not for Dennard.

I just don't understand how people have Dennard as the BPA at 18.

Yes, he fits a hole we have, but Idzik has made it pretty clear that he will be drafting BPA, and in all honesty, there is no way Denard is that guy at 18. Very talented corner, but to be the best player at that point, you have to overlook a lot of other talent.

I am very comfortable with thinking that Idzik will go the BPA route and with that thankfully very comfortable thinking Dennard will not be the choice.

If Rex was still running the show, Dennard would be a possibility. One thing this offseason has proven is Idzik is running the show.

Dennard is not close to the BPA at #18.

Players that could fall to #18 and be the BPA......Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Anthony Barr, Taylor Lewan and a very slight chance of Eric Ebron.

I know a lot of people, myself included, would want Cooks, Beckham, Dennard, and Lee...all 4 mostly likely won't be the BPA. A player or 2 will fall to #18 unexpectly and Idzik is going to draft them.

Why would Clinton-Dix be the BPA at 18? I've seen several mocks seeing him getting drafted by Green Bay at 21 and below. Honestly, I don't even think he's the best FS available in this draft.

And NO to a CB in the first round. Sick of this .

I would gladly take Dennard at 18. he's not as fast as Gilbert but he shuts down one side of the field. he's like Revis. I'd also be very happy landing Aaron Colvin, but if he plays like he's expected to then there would be no point in selecting Dennard.

I doubt Bryant makes it to round 4, as well as Lynch in round 6.

Tone down the Longshoreman language, it's not necessary to get your POV across.

Careless of what other mocks say.

Clinton-Dix is the best rated safety in this class and is considered to be be very draftable in the early teens. The Rams are a legitimate target with their second pick. I could also see Baltimore looking at Clinton-Dix to pair up with their 2013 1st Rd pick. I haven't seen him fall past 20 too often in these "mocks". Pryor has been targeted more in the early 20s.

HCD is a steal at #18.

Clinton-Dix in my opinion his stock is high and low. It seems to be always fluctuating. I can't see him as a steal at 18 because so many projections have him in that 17th spot all the way down to the first round. I tend to see a lot of mocks tying him to the Packers or Bears.

Haven't heard much about him going in the top 15. Idk, I got really turned off by him in the Bowl game. I don't think he played well at all. He was too aggressive and paid for it numerous times by the smaller Jalen Sanders.

We'll agree to disagree, but that's just how I see his stock.

Dennard is as legit as you can get for a CB

Gilbert is the most physically gifted CB but Dennard is the most pro-ready. I'd take Dennard over Gilbert. The game film doesn't lie.

Have you actually watched his game film? Really an amazing player and was a major reason Michigan State's defense was one of the best this year.

Clinton-Dix is a rare talent at FS. There is no better FS, or safety in general, in this draft. Clinton-Dix is better than any safety that came out last year, including Kenny Vaccaro.

I've watched his tape, if he falls to 18 I'd be ecstatic, and it would only happen if a few teams reach for need. Heck if the cards fall right and it doesn't cost much, I'd move up to grab Clinton-Dix or Dennard, in that order. Ebron is over rated, he is very fast and has excellent burst off the line but he rarely plays to the whistle and I don't see high football IQ in his game film. His routes aren't tricky at all, and while his athleticism gets him open against college DBs he will have a much harder time doing so against NFL DBs. Of the players that could fall to us, I'd want them in this order. Haha Clinton-Dix, Darqueze Dennard, Marqise Lee, Taylor Lewan. There are others I like but I'm confident none of them will drop close to 18. I'd trade up a couple spots for HCD or DD, but I wouldn't want to give up much.

Taking HCD is one of those moves that would make not having an amazing CB 2 no big deal. There are just too many WRs in the draft to take anyone other than Lee at 18.

Dennard may not even make it to pick 18....Tomlin and the Steelers may gladly take him at 15.

Can't see the Jets drafting a RT in Round 1 regardless of BPA or not. WR, CB, S are the top 3 options I see unless Ebron falls.

Also Ozzie "BPA" Newsome drafts ahead of the Jets and while I think they take Pryor or Dix one pick before, never say never with him.
