Hey y’all, after a great day of college football I decided to make my first Jets mock draft. Probably premature but that’s ok it’s all fun and games. I’d like to add that in free agency we add Bud Dupree off the edge Hunter Henry at TE and Joe Thuney at guard. Also welcome back CJ to truly start his Jets career. Hope you like offence! Here we go!

    2021 Draft

-1 - Trevor Lawrence QB - He just has IT! I’ve been studying prospects for a while now and he’s the best I’ve ever seen. TL has poise in the pocket, strong arm, accurate on all 3 levels of passing, incredible awareness, high football IQ, excellent physical attributes, athleticism, speed, fluid delivery, solid mechanics with both feet and throwing motion. Most of all he’s a winner that is Pro ready. He reminds me a lot of Elway crossed with Watson. No brainer pick.

-1 (SEA) - Najee Harris RB - This kid is an absolute stud! Can run it up the gut, runs left, runs right, catches out of the back field, blocks, has elite balance, speed, size, athleticism, recognizes blocks development, can run around you or over you and is pro ready. Reminds of Kamara mixed with Zeke.

-2 - Chris Olave WR - Ohio state Vs ND confirmed to me that Chris Olave made Justin Fields not the other way around. After watching a lot of Fields tape Olave just jumps off the screen. He is a polished route runner, strong hands, can run all the routes in the rout tree, has football speed, athleticism, wins 50/50 balls, excellent body control and awareness. He reminds me a lot of Odell crossed with AB.

-3 - Tyson Campbell CB - A raw talent with excellent ball skills, long corner, with athleticism, decent speed, will match up on big receivers and give them problems especially in the red zone.

-3 (SEA) - Thomas Booker EDGE - Played well for Stanford all year. But if a boom or bust pick but has high upside with his physical attributes and football IQ. Could be the steal of the draft if it all comes together for him.

-4 - Royce Newman G - I love this kid from Ole Miss. He’s big, nasty, can pass protect and run block at a high level. He’s played both RT and guard but I like him best at guard.

-5 - Michal Menet C - Just been a rock for Penn state. Excellent run blocker, solid pass protector, NFL size, quick feet and athleticism.

-5 (NYG) - Marcus Murphy S - Here is the ultimate boom or bust pick! Simply because he doesn’t have a lot of tape at Mississippi state but man does he flash greatness. I think he falls to the 5th round based on the unknown but this kid is a ball hawk that would need time to develop.

-6 - Evan McPherson K - He’s the best kicker in college football the last 2 years and should be a good pro. Worth the risk as our kicking can get much worse.

    There you have it!!!

Hopefully not much changes but I’ll do my 2.0 after the season
