Good. One less reason for diatribes by some people here. At $10 million/yr, which many here thought reasonable, it's clear that JD didn't think he was someone he really wanted as part of his remake of the team. I can't blame him.
Anderson is a decent receiver. Nothing special. I would've considered keeping him for that but honestly he's a head case and plenty replaceable. He's never going to be a guy who takes it to the next level and becomees an 80-100 catch 10+ TD guy. Fine with moving on
I gotta say that this one hurts a little. Considering he signed the same contract I hoped he signed with the Jets. He had good chemistry with Sam Darnold and opened the whole field.
Typical of this organization... losing above average talent go is a part of our history. Not saying he wanted to stay or JD didn’t offer him a great deal but this is our reality.
Its going to be interesting to see how he does. As he's the 3rd best reciever on that team maybe even 4th. Fwiw i would of given that contract to robbie. It's clear that the front office dont like him and maybe its worth keeping an eye out for sammy watkins getting cut. Sent from my SM-G610Y using Tapatalk
OBJ strikes me as the complete opposite of a Joe Douglas guy. It doesn't even have to be that complicated... you can find a starter in the draft and if it's Lamb, I think you have a future star on your hands.
He’s average. Can’t get more than 1,000 yards and 6ish touchdowns a year. Disappears for stretches. We overpaid Quincy and look where that got us. Let’s just double down on receivers in possibly the richest WR draft of all time.
His off field history would make giving him big money a risk, it is very apparent Sam did not lobby very hard to keep him. Their might be some people in the Jet Johnson offices that never want to relive Santonio Holmes.
