football is definitely a tvsport for me...i dont even like going to giants stadium let a lone a road game....i give you guys credit
I'm really considering doing one of those sports getaway packages to go to the Jets/Jags in October. The Jacksonville area looks beautiful.
We went to Jets/Jags a few years ago - actually the game where Chad replaced Vinny - You can get tickets directly from the Jags when they go on sale, no reason to get ripped off by the travel agent..
Jacksonville beautiful  Funniest thing I've heard in a while. All kidding aside, I guess it's not that bad, if you don't mind a city of rednecks. St Augustine is close by and it's pretty nice there. If you're a golfer, there's the world golf village close by too.
I spent $2600 on season tickets. My wife said you could have bought one of hell of a newer big screen tv and sat at home and drank beer. I thoroughly enjoy the Meadowlands great tailgating. I did the Redskins roadtrip a few years ago, been thinking about another. What is the cost and is it actually worth it?
You beat me to it!! Jax Beach is nice.... Where the stadium is in JAx is one of the WORST places on EARTH! It makes the Bronx look like Club Med....
No Way Green Machine - I've been to both Jets games in Jax (1996, 2002) and while it's not exactly peaches and cream there, there's no place worse than the South Bronx even on a good day..... :finssuck:
No, my brothers and I pick a road game every year, living in NC, I only see them a few times a year - so we get to hang out for a weekend, hopefully hit a casino, and see a Jet game - ultimate goal is to see a game at every stadium - so far we have hit Jax, Buffalo, Arrowhead, Carolina and now GB this year - I will point out, we have lost all of these games...
So don't go.....  Seriously, Lambeau Field is the Yankee Stadium of the NFL. If you're going on a road trip that is the stadium to see, although it will be freezing in Dec. Maybe someday I'll get there....
Jax Beach is not bad, when we went, we made the mistake of staying in downtown Jax, based on the proximity to the stadium. With the exception of a Hooters at Jax Landing, there is absolutely nothing to do downtown, at most 2 or 3 marginal bars.... if you go, stay at Jax Beach, you will be happy... This site is pretty good: www.johnnyroadtrip.com gives info on all nfl cities
Is anyone else planning on being at the Jets/Fins game on Christmas? If so, it might be cool to tailgate.
