Ok an otherwise joyous day, I just read that two of our greatest offensive linemen have passed. So very sad as they were only in their 60’s.

RIP, and condolences to both of their families.

We could use these two right about now.
Venerable players and great NY Jets.

Marvin Powell was battling heart failure for a couple of years from what I read …. Not sure about Sweeney. The poor guy was only 60 geez. And was it that long ago he was anchoring the Jets OL?? A double geez….

    67 and 60, respectively.

Mommas, don't let your babies grow up to be NFL linemen.

    RIP.

I remember watching both of these guys play. It is so sad that they have passed away at such young ages.
