Mayock suggested the same thing in a radio interview yesterday.

Interesting that he still has D.Thomas going ahead of Dez Bryant.
Also, Kareem jackson seems to be gaining some momentum over the past week or so.

I'd be shocked if Spiller dropped to 20.

Toast Robinson would be an awesome 4th or 5th corner!

Haden was still on the board...

Earl Thomas dropping to 22 to the Pats...I mean at that point the Jets should go get him.

I think its pretty clear that if we go CB at 29, it will be Mccourty. That said, if thats the board and we can't sell Clausen to the highest bidder i still mandate, it should be Joseph.

Too be honest, we need to root against a clausen slide tonight. If he comes off the board in the teens, then Mccoy is the top guy on the board, and I think that would cause a team like cleveland to trade up. If Clausen is on the board, we might not have any takers, he fell that far for a reason, maybe its because people like Mccoy better, but i don't know...

If the board falls that way, we'd be on the phone with Holmgren/mangini to let them get up to 29 for Clausen.

If the board falls like that we should just trade up for Thomas. We can use him and we can use him not being on the Patriots.

He thinks we have a need at the center position. And he doesn't mention any needs on the D-line. Wow.

A Clausen slide would be good, in my view. He's more talented than McCoy, and is probably rated that way be several teams. If he somehow made it into the mid-20s, another team might see a tremendous opportunity to jump in front of Minnesota and give the Jets good value for #29.

Another possibility would be if St. Louis passes takes Bradford. Then, there will likely be a bidding war toward the end of the 1st round for McCoy/Tebow(/Clausen). This could benefit us greatly.

If Clausen makes it to our pick we are trading down.

I think Gosselin is about to lose his reputation as the most accurate draft predictor. At least I hope so. I hate the way that round fell.

Abram Elam has to be included in the deal, though.

Supposedly they want nothing to do with Clausen for whatever reason...

I think Gosselin had us taking DHB with our pick in his final 2009 mock. So there's that.

I heard an interesting thing yesterday....

Can you name Troy Aikman's college WRs
    Steve Young's
    Dan Marino's

The guy was saying that the elite players make everybody around him better but they were saying Clausen had some tremendous talent around him at ND that may have helped him plus he apparently has a shit attitude.
