REALLY good news. If Conner is to grow as a premier FB, having T Rich around makes perfect sense. Really pumped by this news
They definitely will both be here but still, saying he would be shocked doesn't completely guarantee it.
Davis will land with another team, he's pretty freakin good too. I was wondering if Davis was going to push Richardson into retirement. I think they want TR to mentor Connor.
It will be interesting to see how much special teams Richardson and Connor play and if both will be active.
Richardson played ST last year?? I definitely see connor with a high ST role... but not so much richardson
I'm cool with that... we already lost leadership on O with TJ leaving... I'm happy young players like Greene, McKnight and Conner have LT and T-Rex as mentors for a year. I'm especially happy for Greene... working with guys like TJ, LT and T-Rex on a 2 year span? Wow...
Conner is a beast in person. All padded up he's a scary looking dude. I can't wait to see him plant some PhinPhags and Patsies.
Do you guys think Conner will be effective on 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1? I haven't seen him run yet. Tony Richardson used to surprise me by picking up more yards than I expected on his carries. I'm glad we're keeping both. Shame we might lose Jason Davis, he seems really good.
Eh, we'll have to wait and see, he ran pretty well against the Giants, I didn't watch the Carolina game.
I don't think we have a need to PS him. Not this year atleast and we can find some decent backup next year if we need to. TRich is not coming back next year I think.
Apparently he's got some good hands. Imagine the confusion with LT and company lined up and we throw. FB screen. We watch Conner injure defenseless DB's.
^^^^^ Amen. The day Rex watched film of Connor flattening Norwood (So.Carolina) on a UK run-left was the day 'The Terminator' made the Jets squad. Recent history? Just ask NYG Deon Grant. Grant's probably still reaching to answer the telephone...
In the Carolina game there was a play where Sanchez threw a swing pass to Conner and it was behind him, he made an excellent turn and snagged the ball out of the air like a wideout. I had heard he had good hands but that catch surprised the hell out of me.
