Sam McGuffie is going to be a beast a Michigan in Rodriguez's spread offense...but I don't know if he'll be able to run it at Mich. Ryan Mallett is too big of a talent to put in the spread.
Hopefully, he brings the choke to Michigan. WVU is apparently a farm school for Michigan head coaches.
I don't know...Rodriguez is going to bring some pretty nasty recruits to Michigan. The nation's top high school player, Terrelle Pryor (he's basically Vince Young mixed with Pat White), put Michigan at the top of his list today after Coach Rod left WVU. If you guy's haven't seen Sam McGuffie, go to Youtube and watch his videos...he's the best white running back I have ever seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4IJ17ODo_s&NR=1 McGuffie in action: He's doing all of this in the top level of competition in Texas.
WTF!! this was shaping up to be a disaster coaching search, geez how could WVU lose all their coaches to them. Terrible day.
Michigan gets big time players, anyway. I hate the idea of my favorite team losing its coach to Michigan. Rodriguez went from my favorite team to my most hated one. I now know how Patriots fans felt after losing Bill Parcells and his staff to the Jets following the near championship season of 1996.
No not really. While it was a good hire based on what they could of had it doesn't instill fear in anything. Trying to switch to the spread won't be an easy transition for them even if they do get Pryor and that is if it will even work, and there are question marks regarding the kind of defense he brings in because the 3-3-5 defense will fail in the Big Ten.
