http://www.boston.com/sports/footba...did_my.html?camp=localsearch:on:twit:patriots Safety Kerry Rhodes, who drew national attention for his decree that the Jets wanted to embrrass the Patriots during their Week 2 matchup, wouldn't go so far as to say his team accomplished their mission, but did revel in the victory. When asked if the Jets embarrassed New England, Rhodes laughed and said, ?I don?t know. I don?t know what fits as embarrassment. We were able to get the job done and got the win today." Pressed if keeping New England out of the end zone constituted an embarrassment, Rhodes again could only laugh. "I don?t know we did a good job on defense today," said Rhodes. "Even when they had drives, we were able to get them of the field. They got down there a couple of times, when you hold them to three... If you hold the Patriots to three, you are doing a good job." Rhodes took the Patriots' mantra when asked about his own performance, saying, "I did my job. I think I played a good game. It's not about me." Rhodes talked about the game plan the Jets entered the game with. "Even when [Brady] had receivers open, he couldn?t real hit them because of the pressure," said Rhodes. "He felt the pressure. I always said it before, any quarterback facing pressure, they are not going to be accurate. He said some throws he could have made, but didn?t because of the pressure... I talked to him. Me and Brady are cool... We are friends. We hung out at the Kentucky Derby, I know him... During timeouts we acknowledged each other a little bit then."
Is it me or does Rhodes want, just a little too bad, to be a star. This isn't the first time he's acted like he's a playuh.
Yeah, can you imagine Brady saying, "Kerry's my friend! We wink at each other sometimes and stuff." lol.
I am Happy for Kerry all the JETS & all the JET fans with this it`s time for people to respect us Attitude! they have earned it (So Far) as have the fans for the first time in a long time!
I've been saying this all along now for the last couple of seasons... Brady is fallible to pressure. Any QB is. If you get to them consistently and even like yesterday where you get no sacks, just keep putting him on his ass every other play or so. He'll stop thinking so hard about reads and coverage and more about when he should be dancing away from a blitz. It was nice to see them putting pressure on him. That is how you are going to compete with those guys at that level.
