Did any of you receive a phone call from an audio of Rex Ryan, telling us the fans how much they need us this year, and how this is going to be a good year
I'm a Jets fan since 1968, so, for me, it's more than a little ridiculous to talk about any phase of our Jets team as being "ridiculous" after 40 years of waiting again for the VLT. I'm just saying that, from a historical perspective, any time I've ever heard anyone talk about the Jets as being "ridiculous," it's always had a negative conotation. Someone needs to tell Ryan not to use words like "ridiculous" to describe how our defense will be this year, at least, not until he proves to us how good they are on the field. Until then, saying we're "ridiculous" is truly ridiculous, IMO. Totally wrong choice of words.
Got my call! That was silly. All I could think about was what the Walt Michaels version of that call would have been like. I was a fan then but had no idea what he sounded like. It was a different world. no sound bytes, no clips run endlessly on TV. Imagine taking a call and hearing Rick Kotite talking about "smash mouth" football coming to the Meadowlands. What was the purpose of that call? PSL sales? Obviously he didn't rehearse it. First take. I made my purchase decision so it wasn't solely to influence me. I have it on my cell and saved it to play for others. Come to think of it, he didn't leave a return phone number since I missed his call! ; ) I still like Rex.

i put it on speaker and after 2 minutes it felt like a work conference call.zoned out after 2 minutes and 10 seconds
Everytime I go to a game and some people try to get amped up for 3rd downs by standing and making noise theres always some douche bags a few rows back bitching that they can't see. I don't get it. I realize the Jets have had a painful history but some of these people just get off on being miserable pricks and fucking up the experience for everyone. It goes for Giants games too. Last year at the Carolina game my buddies (Giants fans) were getting pumped up during OT and this asshole behind them told them to sit and his defense for being a prick was having season tickets for 30 years. No matter how long you've had your tickets everyone paid good $$ to get in the game so I don't see that statement holding much weight. I mean look at KC. They suck but Arrowhead is supposedly one of the loudest stadiums in the league.
He just wants to make sure you're loud. And if anyone tells you to sit down or to be quiet, tell them you've walked over tougher guys than them on the way to a fight.
He just called me and said the BILLS suck. Oh, and he would kick Jauron's ass. He's getting outta hand......
