Revis shutdown Megatron. That was the most impressive feat, I've seen a CB do in this era. Megatron was a better prospect.

Exactly. That’s what a lot of Jet fans on Twitter brought up but alas the new generation. Give Julio to 2009 Revis and Revis would eat Julio for lunch.

That matchup was so hyped up ... I've never seen the broadcasters highlight a CB-WR matchup that much in one game.

It should be Revis vs Moss or Jerry Rice. Nobody considers Julio in the conversation for the GOAT at his position in his prime.

Amazingly enough, the only receiver I can ever really remember giving Revis much grief is Stevie Johnson from the Bills. Others mentioned Megatron, he also beat up Patriots Randy Moss minus the tweaked hamstring touchdown.

Good point about Moss. Moss had a big game in Revis's rookie year the 1st game they played. He was pretty much shut down in the next game and the following 2 years.

Moss was a bit more of a one trick pony in that offense which would make him an easier cover for an elite corner like Revis. And he even still got burned a couple times because Moss has always been just that fast.

While Revis wasn't the same as the 09 version in 2011, he was still an All-Pro. Stevie Johnson had his way with him, netting 11 catches for 159 yards and 1 touchdown over two games against Revis in 2011.

It was strange. He had incredibly quick feet though.

Let's be honest though 2009 Revis was playing for a check. 2011 Revis wasn't. He played better in 09. He needed to. Rice is the one receiver I think would be a challenge. Goat vs probably the best year of any corner.

stevie Johnson’s routes were so unpredictable, only way to beat Revis was to play like a nut

Johnson had a quirky ability to run his routes while regularly changing up his breaks. I think this worked against Revis because he studied film hard.

I think it’s also the reason Stevie Johnson wasn’t consistently one of the best receivers in the league. I think his constant change ups made timing routes difficult for his QB’s, and he was able to be successful, really only with Ryan Fitzpatrick playing gunslinger.

    Two great players.

I don't know if Jones as great as he is has the type of game to beat prime Revis consistantly. He struggled against pure burners I think Ted Ginn was the only receiver to beat him in 2009 and Moss burned him good in 2010.

Have you seen the career Jones is having?

If he stopped playing today he's a future first ballot HOF. He's still going strong.

I don't think he has the style of game to beat prime Revis but I certainly wouldn't rule out the possibility of him being able to.

I think OBJ would give prime Revis more trouble.
