Yeah...Revis has not been shutdown material this season so far mainly because he held out for 36 days which resulted in some hamstring nonsense

But with 2 weeks to get back healthy and fully prepared...This will be a premiere match-up coming up.
I expect Revis to be on Jennings, not Cromartie this time.

Time for Revis Island to be turn up on radar...

What will be Jennings stat line at the end of game? Wanted to get this discussion started

I don't know man, I can still see Cro on Jennings, Jennings has blazing speed and I think it plays to Cromartie's strengths

Don't forget about Driver, he's a solid WR that catches pretty much anything thrown to him when given the opportunity, he's a shifty runner with excellent route running ability ... he's the perfect possession WR for Rodgers ... I say keep Revis on him, Cro will limit the deep plays

Actually blazing speed requires Revis being physical on the guy, thats what makes Revis really good...Cromartie probably lines up better on Driver

You really think Cro lines up better against Driver? I think it's tough to say, if we lined Revis up on Driver, we can take away the easy short passes and force them to throw the ball down the field more where Cro will be guarded on Jennings, that makes things much more risky for the Packers.

Regardless it's a good problem we have especially if Revis is healthy

I'd rather see Revis on Driver, Cro on Jennings.

Revis made big strides today. Tight coverage on most plays but still ended up on the short side of the play. I expect to see revis back to his all pro level after the bye.

I'm just glad that we won't have to cover Jermichael Finley (even though he was on my fantasy team).

Yeah that is pretty funny rex-n-effects. It's not like I was one of the very few who predicted something like this happening or anything *glances at sig*

Anyway didn't Greg Jennings burn the shit out of Vontae Davis on that 86 yard touchdown today? By that logic Revis will hold him to 0 yards.

Well in all fairness, Revis at 100% is the best defensive player in the NFL by a good margin. Regardless, Cro has stepped up HUGE this year and I think it's safe to say we're all very, very lucky to have him.

I really hope he stays with us next year and beyond. Healthy Revis Island and Cromartie together on the field have to make for the most dominant CB combo the league has seen in years.

Cromartie has been really impressive. It's amazing what the team has done without (arguably... I still think Harris is a beast) our best player in Revis. Would like to see him back to full strength and see how well the defense can be with him out there 100%.

Huh? Davis is a good corner. Probably the best corner on Miami by far.

I think Revis may have some trouble. Jennings is a good receiver and Driver is a smart veteran.

As for Cro covering a lot of the #1's, it's also because Revis has been hurt and subpar, which was self-inflicted.

I really hate that we rewarded the guy. I hope he takes a lesson from all this, because if he really cares about his play and what people think of him and his play, then he won't pull anything like this ever again in his career. He put himself ahead of the team and it has hurt his play and legacy..and the team.

I know Davis is a very good corner. I was making light of the fact that some Dolphins fans say he's better then Revis.

As for Revis he didn't even play that bad this game.

    3 plays I can recall

    - Jumping into the air with a crazy vertical and knocking down a pass
    - Once again selling out his body in the endzone to stop a touchdown pass
    - Being in PERFECT position against 6'3 Demarryius Thomas who leaped up to catch it yet Revis stuck his arm in there and ripped the ball out.

Even if Revis is not playing amazing he is still better then your average cornerback by far.

I think this will be when our defense finally turns it on. We're giving up far too many big plays.

I disagree; I think that the best defensive player in the NFL is either Patrick Willis or Haloti Ngata, just based on the importance of their positions vs. cornerbacks.

In any case, when Revis is going 100% we really don't have to worry about whoever he's covering. Assuming that he's at full strength after the bye, we should be in good shape dealing with Green Bay's receivers.

I'm comfortable with Revis covering anyone, despite what we've seen this season with the hamstring and whatnot. I'd be fine with Jennings paying a visit to Revis Island after the BYE.
