Jones never criticized Owens' character. In fact, he's been talking up the guy for the last month or so while Owens' has been tearing him down.
Yeah my bad, I misspoke but I think it's clear that's why they cut him loose, regardless of what Jones has said.
The difference is Owens caused problems for the team in the locker room/on the field. Jones didn't seem to have any issues as far as that goes, and all indications last year were that he was very hard working on the field. I'd be fine with him coming back. The Cowboys have secondary issues and he can't hurt.
