"It matters. Do they turn on the lights and keep score? 'Course they do. It matters."

I'm surprised Herm isn't on everyone's default interview list. Even if you're not going to hire the guy, he's the perfect way to satisfy the Rooney Rule.

You can just see how happy Doug is when he gets Herm going at the beginning.

Racism is Leslie Frazier can be hired by the Vikings without interviewing any white candidates, but Jason Garrett cannot be hired until the Cowboys interview black candidates.

Me personally, I used to enjoy anonymity in the clan with the hood and all. Then someone found out I was blind in one eye and Jewish, subsequently my clan days were over........Sad times, sad times.

Agreed. Hate the double standard. I'm certainly not black, but when you know what coach you want (and he happens to be white), I'd imagine it's insulting to be be farcically put through the process..

Its truly unbelievable. What a backwards way of doing things. Fucking backwards. This type of horse shit does nothing to improve in this league and our society.

People can whine about the Rooney Rule all they want, but the fact that it's increased diversity among NFL coaching staffs and front offices is undeniable. In this case, the ends justify the means.

In 2009, the numbers showed that 90%+ of wide receivers, defensive backs and running backs were black. Does this mean the league should enact "The Chrebet Rule"? No, it doesn't. We're never going to move beyond this issue if we keep making it an issue.

slavery undoubtedly increased production of farming crops in the south & that's undeniable. In this case, the ends justify the means.

one retarded statement rebutted by another.

MMM Yeah that's right... it's not because during the years more minorities had better access to football careers (from a young age) and consequently HC gigs.

Changes in society increased diversity in everything INCLUDING football... not a stupid rule where teams have to interview guys they have no interest in.
