How difficult is it to complete Ramsey for a 5th trade? Im not saying I want him, but I think our slothful ways in the offseason is why we miss out on most deals. We hear how players visit other teams and then have to cancel visits with remaining teams, because offers are made.

Why do we let guys visit, and we know we want them....but we allow them to go on to the next team to interview. Kitna hits town, Mangini wants him so just don't let him leave town. Well, I feel our offseason approach with trades and fa's have produced poor results in past years and the trend continues.

Because we don't want them badly enough to overpay, which means their agents tell them to wait. If the price is right they'll be back, if not then we wouldn't have got value anyway. I'm all for avoiding impulse buys/overspends.

I have no complaints what-so-ever with what our new FO crew has done thus far.

I don't want Ramsey, I don't want to trade a draft pick for him and I don't want to deal with the Redskins. Let's hope its Kitna or they can get somebody else.

I have no problem with what the FO is doing. The problem with how the old regime was that they did not have any sort of plan. It was all a knee jerk reaction to whatever was happening at the moment. And when they did have a plan, like with Whitflield(sp?), it took them forever to get anything done.

It is apparent this FO has a clear understanding of what they want to accomplish this offseason and how they want to do it. They have positions they want to address in the FA and others in draft. But they are not willing to break the bank on anyone.

They are being smart about it. Which is more then I can say for the past few years. You also don't know what is going on behind closed doors, since they are not talking. Another good thing IMO.

yea even darksiders dont have much to say..........lol

ok so theyve ruined the whole offseason for not immediately making a deal for ramsey? when we could still bring in kitna or just draft a qb?

i think they know what theyre doing, its the fact that we dont know whats being done right now and it makes us angry that we wont know it until it is actually done.

get used to it cuz i love it!

Another impatient Jets fan. Superbowls are not won in Free Agency.

I don't want either one of them. They both create a sucking osund louder than the J-E-T-S chant of opening day.

I say opening day because that's before anyone's hopes are crushed as usual.

Many of us are, especially us old fans who hope to see the bowl in NY before we are eating oatmeal through a straw. You can't blame us as we have carried the banner faitfully since the inception of the Jets. Just because Herm and company did everything wrong don't doesn't make the methode wrong. I guess time will tell.

If you really are a long time football fan, than you should understand what the rebuilding process entails.... but it seems that you don't. I started out by watching (actually, mostly listening on the radio ) to NY Titans games.

Wouldn't you rather wait to see if we can sign Kitna without giving up any draft picks? Also we're only offering a 7th rounder for Ramsey.

I don't see anything similar to the Herm/Bradway method. By now they would have publicly and embarassingly been snubbed by a top tier free agent, and in a knee jerk reaction signed 5 second tier free-agents to overpriced contracts.

No sir, you are mistaken. A thought does not contitute impatience. I was commenting on how other teams handle interviews. I never mentioned a superbowl lol

The front office has been spectacular....we don't overpay. we don't overeact. We don screw up like the Redskins. WE are building for the future first and foremost. Plug some holes know but not at any cost.

I love the way Tanny and Mangini have approached this offseason. They have gotten us under the cap, they have cut down on the fat that was killing the cap, they brought Chad back at a cheap price and Curtis was restructured. You are upset about this because the Jets have signed nobody most people had never heard of until ~~~~ person said they ~~~ were visiting the Jets. Superbowls are not won in one season, you need to build a foundation first so you have the pieces in place to make more than one run at it. Just have a little patience man, we are heading in the right direction. This new FO isn't stupid are going to force the Skins to either cut Ramsey or get him for what they feel is justified. This is not Herm and Bradway with their idiocy always walking around with egg on their faces. These guys have an idea of what it takes to build a winner and you dn't do that by plugging holes with bubble gum.
