    Game 1: Pelfrey v Belisle

No way should they play this tonight.

I'd be suprised if they didn't. If they don't play tonight they've got to play a doubleheader either tomorrow or Sunday.

They suggested earlier that it would be a day night DH tomorrow if it's rained out tonight.

Tonight’s game has been canceled, and rescheduled for tomorrow as part of doubleheader.

Game one will be at 1:10 pm, with Johan Santana on the mound, while game two will start at 7:30 pm with Mike Pelfrey on the mound.

Tickets for the 5/9 game are only good for the 7:10 game of the double header.

It'd be nice to see Griffey run Shea this weekend :)

Santana gives up 3 hits in the top of the first, but thanks to a pickoff gives up no runs.

Does anyone know where I can find the video of that SNY commercial that says Keith and Ron are brutally honest and it has that sweet song? I can not find it anywhere.

I don't feel like searching for my prediction of this, but as predicted, Castillo is back in the #2 hole, apparently to stay for a while. It is really disgusting to hear Gary and Keith talk like this is a good idea.

at least castillo is back in the 2 hole

it's amazing to me that the main argument for hitting castillo there is that he's so useless that he has almost no value in the 8th spot since he can't "bunt" and "move runners over"

Wow, Griffey is really slow now - he can't run and he can't field either.

Santana is a lifetime .255 hitter and Willie has him bunting with 1st and 3rd and 1 out. I can't stand it.

the stupidity is compounded by the fact that if it was successful we would've had castillo up there with the bases loaded and 2 outs.

And now Gary confirms your statement, saying that "the sacrifice bunt is such a big part" of Castillo's game. Do they ever listen to themselves to hear how idiotic they sound regarding this guy?

Nice to see Beltran with a hard single up the middle for the RBI.

nice to see some hitting here.

what makes it even sillier to me is that you've got Reyes who's OBP is in the low 300's leading off, and the rest of the times through you've got the 8 hitter and the pitcher in front of him. so how often is he even going to come up in a position to move the runner over or sac bunt? i'd much prefer a guy in the 2 hole with some power that can get himself into scoring position for the middle of the order.

Dusty Baker isn't too bright. He brings the infield in with Alou up and 2nd and 3rd, when he could have walked Alou and then played for the DP with Delgado up.

And now Delgado hits into the DP.

Nice lucky inning for the Mets.
