I wasn't going to bother with a thread for this since I wasn't going to be around for two of the games, but people might want to check this one out.

Damn. Matsuzaka 7 2/3 hitless innings, has it ended by a bloop over short.

Dice-K was 4 outs away from no-hitting one of the top 5 lineups in baseball? WTF, this guy is such an enigma. Hopefully it will have the same effect as Lester's no-no against KC two years ago and he will finally realize his potential.

Part of it was pitching better, more fastballs, an attempt to pound the zone early. The other thing I noticed is that the zone was big last night, this helped Dice alot since guys had to swing at borderline stuff, a bunch of his K's were from getting a borderline call early then just extending out a bit and getting swinging strikes.

Wake dominates Doc and Dice K comes inches from a no hitter. What a weekend.
