Final quarter of the regular season coming...What games do you see as wins and losses? I can see us going 4-1 or 3-2, wish Seahawks game was at home, but we do have a long week there with a Thursday game with Jags so I think 4-1 is possible to hopefully end this long playoff drought Bills - L Lions - W Jaguars - W Seahawks - W Dolphins - W 14 Sun, 12/11 @BUF 1:00 PM 15 Sun, 12/18 vsDET 1:00 PM 16 Thu, 12/22 vsJAX 8:15 PM 17 Sun, 1/1 @SEA 4:05 PM 18 Sun, 1/8 @MIA TBD
Went with 3-2….we win against lions, jags and dolphins. Loss to bills and Seahawks. I would’ve considered Seahawks a win if we played at home
Not making any predictions, but after watching MW run the offense, the team has enough talent around him (on both sides of the ball) to win out. That's something I never would have thought just a few weeks ago. Talent doesn't always translate to wins, it's up to the coaching staff to put it all together. (Looking at you, LaFleur).
I'll say 4-1 with the dolphins not playing for anything week 18. We are playing the Seahawks at a better time, they are falling down to earth
The Jets aren’t some sort of offensive juggernaut so the defense needs to play much better than it did today. The downfield coverage was bad and so was the safety play. They have time to clean it up though. The weakside ends (Jermaine Johnson, Huff, etc.) were pretty bad in run support today.
2-3. They'll drop one of the two should-wins (JAX and DET) because the Jets always drop a should-win game during playoff chases.
May be chasing unicorns here, but going all in at 5-0. Jets made half a dozen key mistakes today, the DEF was not at its Sunday best, the refs were crapping all over them and still gave a pretty good first place team a run for their money on their home turf. Today's game was all heart, since the coaching and execution was pedestrian, at best. A far cry from the recent non-playoff Jet teams, who made a habit of calling it in for the season around this time of year. As for the offensive playcalling, MW and MLF are still learning to work together. Although redzone problems persist, this offense has done a complete 180 since Mike took over. For once, you can say the QB was victimized more by drops than the WRs being victimized by awful passing. Barring an injury, hard to see Zach taking another snap this season after MW has rejuvenated an inept offense which was sputtering on fumes when he took over. Hard to believe Saleh and staff would not want to take a long hard look at MW for the remainder of the season. When was the last time the Jets had a QB who could step in there and virtually guarantee a 250-350 yd passing game? The only guy that comes to mind is Namath. And he's doing this without having the luxury of Bryce in the lineup.
I'm going with 3-2, especially given the possibility that the Dolphins rest Tua in Week 18. Which would give us a 10-7 record, which should be enough to get in. But I wouldn't be shocked whether we make or miss the playoffs.
I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that the Dolphins will have everything wrapped up and will be resting Tua in Week 18. They don't lead the division anymore and are right down there in the wild card scrum with us, the Bengals, Chargers, and Pats. It could very well go down to the wire for them as well, especially if they drop one of the next two games on their schedule (LAC and BUF).
Thank You …. I was just going to ask why everybody thinks Miami will rest everybody and not have anything to play for in week 18. They looked not so great today against a back up QB. They are going to stay out west and away from home going on two weeks to play an angry chargers team then go to Buffalo where the Bills will want revenge. GB and at NE may not be walks in the park either.
I said 3-2. I think we lose close games to the Bills and Dolphins, win pretty convincingly over the Seahawks and Jaguars, and win an uncomfortably close game against the Lions. That could be enough for the playoffs; I think the Patriots beat Arizona but drop the last four games, and the Chargers go 3-2 the last five games.
We all know that in dramatic fashion it will come down to the final week of the season. Hoping it doesn't turn out to be another 2015 scenario
I think we lose the Lions game. Detroit is playing great football lately Winning in Buffalo & Seattle are both tall tasks. We matchup well with Miami 2-3 down the stretch. Praying for a Ravens collapse now that Jackson is hurt or we might be looking at another year in this drought
I think we can sweep if we play well. The schedule isnt that bad. We've beaten two of these teams before.
I went with 3-2. Losses to the Bills and one of the last 4, no clue where that will come though, would guess either @SEA or @Mia. Hopefully 10-7 will be good enough to get a WC berth but we'll see.
