The guy is a stud. IF he was on USC he would easily be a TOP TEN PICK. This is how I would hope the first day goes. 1. Revis CB Pitt= Simply a BEAST. He can shut down the opposition. He is also fundamentally smart. 2A.Moses OLB Georgia= At the end of the year I was hoping he would fall to us in the first round now it looks like he will be there with our first pick. We are lucky this draft is deep in OLB. 2B. Manual RamirezOG= Has all the tools, will be a starter by MID SEASON. 3.MIKE Walker WR Central Florida= This kid is a MAJOR and I mean MAJOR SLEEPER. He has all the physical tools that we want. This draft is very realistic and attainable.
Well if Darrelle Revis fell there, he's the only player I want. He has everything you need in a CB. The way Moses is doing, it sounds like there's a chance we can get him with our 3rd rounder.. maybe. I don't think we need an OLB this early anymore however. I'm fine with us getting a mauler that can potentially help take the running game to a new level. Everyone has us selecting Mike Walker, which is a good pick nevertheless. With his production and measurables, he might not even fall that far. Overall, I'd be satisfied if we came out of Day 1 like that.
looks good to em, I would take that and be happy, I just do not think revis will fall, we will be looking at Houston or Ross, and I do not like Ross
We only need a CB because we can't pressure the QB or stop the run. Even with that our CBs did pretty good last year. Instead of a CB I would rather we use our first pick to fix one of the real problems we have. Some might say what does stopping the run have to do with a CB. I believe the pass is wide open for the opposing QB because we are always expecting the run.
I'd love this. With both Barnett and Dyson hurt, Brady was able to pick our CB's apart with quick 3 step drops and quick hits.... and that wasn't on any problems we might have with the pass rush. A guy like Poteat just can't play a WR tight... he'll get burned. Miller just can't read plays. CB is actually the biggest need we have in my opinion. Any of the top 4 CB's would be fine with me at 25. McCauley... he scares me. When I saw him work out, both combine and pro day, he was very stiff in the hips, and he looked awful in the senior bowl. There is a reason he's dropped out of the first round.
I agree. I think we need to be more intelligent. I don't believe in first round tight ends either, but if Olsen happens to drop to us I'd be inclined to take him. I can also see us trading back to get a guard early second like Grubbs. Should be entertaining. -X-
I remember you were against first round safeties for a while, and as time went on I started to realize why. I wouldn't go safety in the first round now as a blanket rule is I were a GM unless it was a special circumstance, like safety being by far the most pressing need or a player of great value being available.
I think a top CB is our biggest need also, but I can't help thinking about how a good rush attack is the best defense, so Blalock also makes sense...If Tangini thinks he is the next Aaron Glenn, then this pick is the tits, otherwise need #2-OL
