I'm not talking about the whole game, of course after the game starts you boo - but the first time he gets introduced or comes onto the field, it'll be interesting to see the reaction.

Chad is getting nothing but applause from me. That's the least Jets fans can do now that they see the truth.

I shudder at the thought...think Shea Stadium early this year, the atmosphere was completely toxic, but it is the Dolphins coming in so I guess the fans'll be a little more resilient than the team - at least till we get behind.

As far as Chad I guess I'd cheer or clap my hands pretty lightly the first time he gets introduced. He deserves that much anyway.

if Penny played for a team outside the AFC East...then i would defenitly cheer him...because of the way he was treated by the FO......but since i have a policy regarding "cheering for Dolphins players"....as in...i don't do it......i'll probably sit that one out.

What bothers me most is the total disrespect Chad gets around here.
You wanna say he had a weak arm ? FINE
But he gave 150% every single day of the week. He bled green more than any of us can imagine.

Surgeries, Rehab, everything and had a heart that was always pushing his team.
There is absolutely NO REASON for people to just hate this guy.
He's a (proven) winner and will always be a JET in my eyes.

IMO- I think the JETS organization is going to fuk this up... I don't think they will introduce the Offenses this week.

If they do, We may hear Chad Cheers and Favre boos. They don't want that.

I will just be yelling my obligatory sack that faggot from my living room. I do this for all opposing QB's. I guess that would translate to the "boo" option in your poll.

Too bad for them...i didn't want our playoff chances pissed away either. I couldn't care less what the FO wants or not.

I was telling my girlfriend that I think this team is losing its heart.

Parcells put together a core of guys that not only were good football players, but had tons and tons of heart and soul and played with a kind of passion that is legendary.

Right before Parcells left, he delivered a treat in a franchise QB with that same kind of passion. Pennington was awesome before his arm blew up.

But... the terrible drafting under Bradway, combined with Mangini's total lack of balls and mind numbingly stale demeanor has just drained the life out of this team.

We've got shit tons of talent, probably even more than Parcells had... but it feels corporate. These guys got game, but they don't have the heart that we saw out of Curtis Martin, Wayne Chrebet, and others.

We need someone to restore this franchise lest we become bottom of the barrel losers again.

    Mangini must go.

I'm rooting for Chad all the way. All the way to the super bowl, if they win. I can't say that I am going to root for him to win, but I will be
    tempted.. if Brett sucks again.

I know some wouldn't even entertain the Idea of telling the Jets to go fuck themselves and root for Chad but I hate it when they won't even try. And that guy hasn't tried since he won out in Tennessee. I think that the Jets put every thing into the 'Favre' basket. The players who signed on with the Jets, signed on with Chad in place.

When Tannenbaum brought "the Savior" here, the whole team, including the coaching staff and the whole fan base, bought into the Brett thing. After the tough and expected start, the Jets went on a five game tear. Then the cold rain put out Favre's fire and thats it. Since he stopped playing, the New York Jets fell apart.

They suddenly can't stop the run, cant coach, the special teams is lost and its all going away. So I guess I think that after Chad got fucked by the Jets, it won't be so hard after all to root for the Fins.

OH yeah. I've been rooting for this team to win since Richard Todd and Matt Robinson were fighting to start, like Chad and Kellen. 1980?. I don't feel bad at all. Go Chad

I have a 4 year old son. When I explained that Chad went to the Dolphins and Vilma went to the Saints, I told him we don't boo our old "friends". Both players were good "friends" to the Jets. So I in turn will not boo Chad Pennington. I have nothing but respect for what he did for our organization. I also thought his time was up here.

On the other hand, the Dolphins, and their annoying fans with Marino jerseys, will be in our home. I hate the 'Fish with a passion that goes back farther than the hatred I have for the Pats. So I will NEVER root for another team in our building.

I guess I will knowingly give Chad a wink of acceptance but will sit on my hands.

Now when Mangini is shown on the jumbotron, I will have a few choice words for him. As well as any other slacker who has contributed to the demise of an once promising season.

I hope he gets some polite applause as a thank you for what he did here.

I hope he doesn't get some over the top standing ovation that's really directed at the Jets for getting rid of him, because the fans treated him a lot more unfairly than the organization did.

For as much as alot of jet fans complained and complained about CP, I think its obvious now he wasn't the problem. I think he will get a much deserved ovation from the crowd..

    Agreed.

The Jets were up against the salary cap even before they got Favre, they basically had one day to get back under the cap after acquiring him and the only way to do it was to dump Chad, or dump four or five other players.

It is too bad the Jets couldn't have worked out a trade with another team before they got Favre, but the Favre thing did happen pretty fast since it only looked a few days before we got him that he had zero interest in coming here. Truth be told he probably still doesn't, but the Packers forced his hand.

im glad you put up the sit on my hands option. i really enjoyed chad and what he brought to the team, i also saw it was time for him to move on. however he is a dollfag now and that brings automatic hatred to him.

anyone who lived through the 80s and will cheer for any dollfag no matter who should be shot!
