Do you want Barton back next year?

Apparently he met with FO for contract discussion, but haven't heard anything since. I love the guy's intensity and I think he still has some good skills to offer, especially as a pass rusher. I think he'd be a great veteran presence and situational player. What do you think?

At the right price sure. Even if we sign Bart Scott some depth at any position would be solid

This poll threads get more and more annoying...at least jtrain didn't start this one.

In the end, the only votes that count are Tannenbaum's and Ryan's - no need for anyone on a message board to vote.

I feel like I have the pulse of the fans now that I've seen the poll.

Just want to get a feel for what the board thinks of him. There isn't much talk about him around here and there aren't many people who keep tabs on the Jets down here in Texas.

I'd argue that Pace was, and there is no question Harris is the best when healthy.

Barton is an above average player with a penchant for making stupid mistakes... also not particularly strong against the run.

For the money he'll want, we can do better.

I wasn't exactly blown away by Pace's performance last year, but I'm inclined to agree.

Regarding money though, I think it might be just the opposite. Barton isn't a big name player, he's up there in age, and he plays for the Jets.. I don't think he'll be able to reel in a whole lot of money.

If we don't sign Ray Lewis or Bart Scott and if he signs for a moderate contract, then definitely.
