I'm onboard for this kid. Good luck Danny!
They never let him return kicks or punts in college since he was so important to the team. I'm sure he could pick it up quickly though.
Well I'm sure Danny is allready working on his KR and PR return skills, that will be his best chance to make the squad...
Holy shit look at these numbers..... this is a career for some people and he did it in one season...... 2006 Attempts:344 Yards:2756 Yards Per Attempt: 8.0 Yards Per Game:212.0 TD:34 Receptions:45 Recieving Yards403 TD Receptions:4 If people were gonna draft Josh Johnson based on his numbers at a small school certainly this kid is worth a look.
if - IF used correctly; danny can be a productive player for us. he is NOT an "every-down back". he can help us on kick-offs & punt returns. cheers ~ ~ ~
he'd actually be good for short yardage situations because the Defense would lose sight of him in the backfield, making him able to slip through and run for more yards.
That is where he is used best in college, hiding behind the lineman and by the time the defense finds he is already by them.
Lets be honest, he looks like a pee-wee player in that oversized hat. But hey this kid has MADE IT THIS FAR. My god, thats amazing!. What is it about the little guy making it thats so much fun? He probably won't, but I hope he makes the squad through hard work and talent.
Here's another Woodhead Vid, I like the kid's attitude. And, Hey, Ya never know. http://www.cstv.com/video/?s=videohub&vid=5054
