if the Mets let this game get away, I'm going to murder somebody. literally. and in such gruesome fashion it reaches news reports from coast to coast. I'll commit the crime wearing nothing but body paint with jetblue painted on my chest so there is no ambiguity about whether it was me or not, and turn myself in by walking to a news station to confess and get it all on tape in all my nude body painted glory while we wait for the police to arrive.
that was close. on the downside for the rest of you, though, is had I committed the acts I said I would and been convicted and sentenced to death, you could have set your clocks for Jets and Mets championship in 20 years the seasons immediately following my execution. that's my luck.
Well, I assume that you wouldn't have appealed the death penalty so that we wouldn't have had to wait 20 years, right? That's the polite thing to do, after all.
the eternal sacrifice isn't enough, now it needs to be in a more timely manner? ingrate. sure, no problem.
Good day of baseball so far. 6-5 Cubs in 13 while Kerry Wood blows a save at Wrigley, now 1-1 in the 7th Rays-Mets.
