Yeah, he'll be a FA after Ravens lose to Jags next wk. We need help at LB spot. Bryan Thomas is worthless piece of crap and a salary hazard. Ray will be expensive, but I think we need to make move on him and hope that he can help our D. We a CB for sure but an LB is a must.

I know we have Harris, but one of them can be moved to the outside, and the other can be an ILB...or both be the ILB and this D can rock!

Thats my opinion n I have the right to ... Your thoughts??

Ray Lewis is getting too old, but not a horrible idea. I think we need to see how the whole coaching arena changes first. I think we will lose this weekend and probably even knowing that if we win we are in; meaning that the Ravens and/or the Pats lose; but we still go down in flames nonetheless. Chad Pennington will throw for more yards than Brett Favre and Water gains 144 yards on the ground and we mail it in.

I would say no. He's a very good ILB but spending the kind of $$ it would take would not be worth it.

Need to see how our cap situation shakes out at the end of the year. We have somewhere around 1.5 mill in space right now.

4 yrs difference and he can still play at a much higher level than Bryan Thomas "The Bum"

He can still play at a serviceable level, but I've had my fill of older veterans past their prime.

how about Barton goes to FA and you sign Lewis instead?? Why are we moving everyone else around?

He'd add balls to that pussy defense.... Thank God I can watch the Steelers and see a real defense every once in a while. I love Dick LaBeau.

I'd take Ray Lewis in a minute. Even with that giant head and stupid dances.

Ray Lewis will give our D some instant killer instinct and attitude, something we have been desperately missing these last few weeks.

1.5M right now. There's about a $7m increase in 09 ($116 to $123) so we would be around $8.5 right now. Salaries go up and all that crap so most of the $7m will get used up.

Favre is a goner. He's done and we'll be saving $10M on that. We release Thomas save some money there too...not sure how much though.

That's exactly what this defense needs, a murderer! Shit, maybe we can get OJ to coach on work release.

Lewis didnt play great when the Ravens went to a 3-4 I thought? He's a hell of a player, but doesn't fit our scheme.

I'd take him just for the leadership that he would bring.. this defense doesn't have an emotional leader. Remember Bryan Cox?
